I don't think I'd be shooing a bear away unless I had a weapon in hand, just in case the animal wanted to test my resolve.

Part of what makes it funny knowing her is that she's been a hypnotist for many years and is very involved in counseling and teachings related to the power of the mind, auras and chakras, etc.  Yes, as a northeasterner, she's got a good, strong, loud voice (music to my ears!), but rather than a weapon, I'm wondering why she didn't use hypnotism or some other kind of energy communication with him . . .  maybe trying to have a nice calm chat together on the deck!  Stick out tongue

As for the new guy's job description, I thought about suggesting you make it say "daily task" instead of weekly, but then I figured you didn't want to seem too demanding.  Plus, the weekly requirement is lower in calories!  Big Smile

Cathy, I'll watch that video when I get home because I'm sure I'll get emotional, as I always do when you share info and blog posts from the Johnson family.

I feel bad for those of you whose gas is nearing $5.00. I think I paid $3.75 today. I drive tons of miles, so another dollar a gallon higher would be downright painful for me. I think I went 800 miles since last Monday when I got my oil changed, and I didn't even have my car for over 24 hours while I got it inspected (dropped it off Wednesday night, took it back Friday morning).

Update on the kitchen project- I came home today, my mom is already working on messing it up I swear. She cooked, she leaves a trail behind, not that I don't, because I do. I had to get the ADHD from somewhere.  You start out doing one task, see another that needs to get done, and the mess from the first one is left there, and the first thing probably never got done. Still, I'm going to keep that room clean, if it kills me to do it. I went after the one bathroom a few months ago. Now that it's fairly clean, I don't do much to keep it clean other than wiping stuff down once a week. I can keep the dishes out of the sink, and the crumbs off of everything. I started going after the pantry, but I couldn't throw away anything yet. Better yet, my mom has no idea I did anything there. I just started moving expired food up to the top shelf. That way, when I get the chance, I know where all the stuff that needs to be thrown out is, and I just clear it right out.

And that was not what I meant to post about... I started obsessing on the kitchen, and the other thought is gone.

My fridge saga continues. The freezer is freezing but the air is not being pushed to the fridge. I have watched a few youtube videos on it but lack the tools to properly diagnose which part is faulty so I might have to have a repairman out after all. In the mean time, I cooked up what little meat I had only to realize I can't save left overs anyway lol. I can be such a dunce sometimes.

Lily is limping pretty badly, I can't figure out what she must have done. We went for a short hike and she was fine. A couple hours later and she wont put weight on her leg. I gave her some of abbies left over anti imflamatory meds and now she is out like a light. Funny, it didn't have that effect on abbie.

So, the question is, what is next? Broken appliance, broken dog...oh yeah, an ear infection in the ear that is not quite right. The trifecta of crappiness is complete. Someone get me some crackers to go with my whine ;)

Seriosuly though, I got hooked into reading a book by nora roberts and can hardly put it down. Must go to bed so I can get up for work tomorrow!

So my cat may be dying... She's not acting right and is a lot older then we thought.. She's hiding, not eating much, laying in her own waste for days and dark brown urine.. And of course there's nothing I can do until tomorrow cuz it's the holidays and there's no e-vet here.. thankfully she's drinking still....

I am so sorry about your cat :( how is she doing today? When was the last time the vet saw her?
