Thedoctor had scheduled me to have a visiting nurse, visiting occupational
therpaist and as visiting physical therpist for 3-6 weeks. Well, the nurse came
out first and did an assessment. My BP was 100/60, temp was 97.2 (both always
run a little low), pulse was 88, no swelling of feet or legs, and incision
healed. She said I didn't need a nurse.
The physical therpist came out that afternoon and put me thru my paces and
lined up some exercises forme to do to strengthen my legs, hips and lower
back. He said he didn't expect to have to make but a few visits.
The occupational therapist cae out and watched me get around and I had to
show her things I could do---and she said not only did I not need occupational
therpist, but I coudl actually not use my walker in the house, only if I went
outsdie. Bet medicare and our supplement insurance will be glad I do not need
the nurse nor the occupational therapist after all!
