At least we're getting ever closer to the weekend!

Poor DH is really hurting.  I don't know how to help him.  We all deal with grief in our own way and my way isn't any better than his, it's just how I handle things.  For me, this year has been one of so much loss, and I battle letting it take me under, but he doesn't have whatever it is I have to battle.  I just wish I could rub a salve on his heart and make things easier for him.  His way is probably healthier than mine, but it hurts him so badly.

And on THAT cheery note......they have been promising us sunshine for a week.  Have yet to see any and it's getting mighty old working in the dreary, drizzle day after day.  But, the cold snap and the rain has made the leaves absolutely vibrant.  I have a small sugar maple that I see as I sit here and it's stunning in it's beauty.  Hopefully the crisp clear fall weather will show up soon!

It's pretty breezy and chilly this morning - yay!!!

I feel like I was awake every hour through the night.

Cathy glad its cooler for you - I was up every hour. I truly don't know what to do re DH's snoring. I wind up really angry and I know that isn't fair but I am tired of getting such poor sleep and/or going to the guest room all the time

Have you tried the waxy type of ear plugs? That's the kind I use and I can literally block out every bit of noise, including DH's snoring. I don't wear them when he's working because it makes me too nervous and I think that's why I don't sleep well. I'm amazed at the noises that my house makes all night and I'm so sensitive, I can even hear the ice maker dropping ice cubes .

I have to remember to set my DVR to record 20/20 Friday night.

Twister did fine and so did I. :)   The oncologist said any side effects probably won't show up for 3-5 days but she emphasized that most dogs tolerate this drug very well so I'm hopeful Twister will have no adverse reactions or mild ones.  Thanks for the good thoughts.

Karen, maybe time for your DH to see a doc about doing something about the snoring instead of having you do something that will probably be more painful for him.  I truly sympathize as DH snores but it doesn't bother me as long as I'm asleep.  If I wake up and can't fall back to sleep right away the snoring keeps me awake and I don't do sleepless well. I've had no luck getting mine to see a doc but maybe you'll do better.

Seriously he won't see a doc - its better when he loses weight and he assures me he will - and he always does. Cathy I have the foam earplugs but perhaps I need to go up a notch

Fyi re: your DH's snoring....send him for a sleep study.   I had this problem with my DH for years.  Still would if he wasnt using a CPap.  I used to have to go to sleep before him or in a different room too.   Now we dont sleep in the same room but that is because since his broken neck we had to get him a firm mattress and I cant sleep on it.
