    Weird... (Tootsie)

Today, after work I went to my friends mom house who watches her grandson daily.Tootsie, absolutely enjoys this little boy (age 2 1/2).

Anyways, we pull up and I get out and say "c'mon". Nothing. I asked her "don't you wanna go in". Nothing. So I left her in the car and went in. Weird, huh? When I came back, I asked if "she wanted to go potty". Very reluctantly she hopped out and went potty. Shes acting completely fine otherwise. What do yo guys think?

P.S. I talk to her all the time like a person. Smile

As David and I would say to each other "it bears watching" -- cos you don't know if Tootsie herself wasn't feeling up to whatever, OR had there been a negative experience prior (despite loving the child), or was she just inordinately tired and self-governed enough to know "I don't wanna go there today".

If she's not feeling well you'll get hints soon -- but I suspect it was just a dog who knew her own limits *today* and decided to sit this one out.

There is a little shi-tzu that always barks at her. Sorry about the spelling.

I do the same with all mine.

Just observe and see if there is anything else.  Lots of "could be" stuff

    - she didn't want to play at that time

    - getting out the car is hard, she wanted help

    - you messed up "the routine," you were supposed to stop for her burger at McD's first, lol!

I know with some of my dogs, if I do certain things in an order, if I ever miss a step for whatever reason, it completely throws that dog off.

This happens at my house too.  Going off routine can mess up the whole evening, but if the boys change the routine then that's perfectly ok :)
