Happy Gotcha Day, Sinbad!

Today is Sinbad's Gotcha Day! He's now 13 years old and has already been with me for two years. Time flies when you're a happy yellow Lab. Here are a few pictures from this past week:

And if I recall the story - this is the dog that someone led into your vet saying "he's too fat -- put him to sleep"????

Or was it just that Sinbad said "Gimme a new owner -- this old one is too stupid!!" Or was he just singing Elton John's "Island Girl" in your honor????

Sinbad you picked a GREAT Mama!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Celebrate with some crab legs, more drool and a burp :)

If crab legs are out of season I am sure you'll get a nice crunchy trachea! Do your best to get a special meal too Pizza

Sinbad says thank you for all the good wishes!

Callie, you remembered correctly. He was very overweight and was going to be put down. Fate and angels intervened and he ended up in rehab/foster care instead. I had left a message with my vet after Frisby died (when I went to pick up her ashes)--saying I'd be interested in adopting an adult dog "down the road". The call from the vet's assitant came less than a week later-"We know it's really soon after Frisby but we have this Lab..." and the rest, as they say, is history. He lost the final 10 lbs after moving here and has kept it all off.

Karen, you got it just right--tonight's special treat is....tracheas! He and Mozey love them, so that's the party plan.
