    Mindless Monday Chat

I went to bed at 3am.  So I have no idea where I am right now, having woken up at 6:40am.

    Paige, that's no bueno.

I slept pretty good considering I had a long nap yesterday.  Usually if I do that I can't get to sleep at bedtime.

There was a small herd of cattle on our street this morning when I left.  They were lounging around in someone's yard looking quite at home. lol  I called the law on them and hope they get rounded up.  I love to watch law enforcement try to round up cattle but I couldn't stay to watch.

     Ugh Paige!

LOL Jackie imagine lounging cattle in someone's yard is a wonderful image

I have something embedded in my fingertip for a couple of weeks and it is seriously infected now. I have tried to manage it and tried to get it out without success so I am off to get it sorted out later. I have a feeling I'll leave with a few stitches :(

Poor Bugsy sez he is being abused and is bored out of his gourd

Karen, I'm sorry to hear about your finger.  Hope it comes out without stitches needed.

I just got a text from the friend who is driving down from TN.  They spent the night in Dallas and when they took their dogs out this morning two of her dogs got sprayed by a skunk.  That's going to be a long long drive.  She's not a happy camper and is probably glad it was only two of the three dogs with them.

     Hehehe cattle lounging!

Karen, I hope stitches aren't necessary!!

I'm trying to remember that I do love my job, even if these last few weeks I haven't really liked it =(

Good thoughts for your finger Karen.

Here I was thinking wild turkeys were cool to see and you've got cows in the hood Jackie. I'm very envious. I love cows!

Got up early and went grocery shopping and then took Shane for a walk. DH will be home soon and probably very tired, so I think I'll go do some fun shopping.

I had trouble falling asleep and hadn't even taken a nap. It was odd too because I was really sleepy until I got into bed.

Tomorrow is our TV spot and I'm trying not to stress about it. I know Shane will do just find but we have to be there at 7:30 and it's going to mean hustling to get him fed and me cleaned up and ready to go. I'm also worried about traffic.

Let me tell you most Cops dont enjoy wrangling cattle Smile But I think Id enjoy watching them try to.

Talking about sleeping, I ve been with my hubby 18 yrs now and all of a sudden he's started snoring !

I got no sleep lastnight ! I shook him, poked him, riped the pillows out from under his head and tryed yelling at him.

    He slept right though it.

when I tell him he is snoring ,He's like I dont snore. Ive never snored ...ERRR

I had several nightmares about shark attacks last night. Don't ask me why but man were they ever disturbing. In one, I watched a little 4 yo boy get swallowed up while alive by a great white. I think I need a brain exam ;p

I would give anything to see law enforcement wrangle those cows lol. We had a cattle truck crash here a couple of years ago and the police had a heck of a time rounding them all up. It was a pretty amusing news story. One cow was never found until many many months later. Then some rescue organization stepped forward and said they would place her on a farm since it obviously wasn't in the stars for her to be sent to slaughter. A year later, the news did a follow up story on the cow that got away with a video of her munching away peacefully at some farm in the country haha.

Bugsy - you can deal with a bit of boredum. Your mom needs to have you rest!

I am feeling pretty mellow today which is probably due to the cooler temps and the headache that just won't quit. After cleaning up my room yesterday, I went through my closet and realize I really don't have any fall clothes that are worth a darn anymore. I really need to go shopping.

I was thinking of you yesterday Karen. I rearranged the furniture in my bedroom yesterday and the dogs were all thrown off. Especially Neiko. He really didn't know what to do with himself. I'm going to have to make up some sort of special sleeping spot for him I think because after a while, he gave up and went and slept in the computer room under the futon.

LOL  Bugsy has decided that my arrangement works as long as I put his bed by the window!

Thanks for the thoughts for my finger - it actually isn't as angry as it was yesterday. That was really not funny, I was quite concerned when I realized my entire finger was swollen and I couldn't bend it properly.  I am definitely missing some brain cell connections when it comes to pain.

    He sez "get stuffed!"

He is following me everywhere and looking at me with great anticipation. Then I say 'just me' or 'going shopping' and he walks off in a huff LOL So melodramatic.  I was a bit worried when I came in this morning and he had taken my running shoes out of my closet. No damage but I think it was a strong message Indifferent

    off to get sliced!!

Poor Bugsy, you are so mistreated....

Jackie, good thing you called on the cows.... we have had some of that happen and after a soaking raid they can destroy a lawn.  I have a neighbor, bless her heart, all in the animal kingdom know to stay out of her yard cause she will get after them with the broom Stick out tongue even at the age of 80+.

Of course she doesnt mind Hot and Rock cause they do eat her plants and they know better than to get in her garden.

We had a weekend of rain an cooler temps, it was wonderful.   Hubby won the community quilt that was raffled off on Sat. Night.  I am very excited it is really nice.   Most of the neighbors in the community made the squares, one of the ladies put it together and another lady quilted it.  We have been trying to raise money, the Community building needs a new roof.  It was lots of fun, they got it done in time for the County Fair and it won a Blue Ribbon.

Karen good luck with the finger, Glenda are you still in the kitchen?  Shane and Cathy we will soon be saying "We knew them when......"

lol  sorry but that made me laugh.  Bugs, go settle down and quit trying to get your mom to run you.

Julie, that dream sounds horrible.  Hope you can get it out of your head.

It's been confirmed........the dermatologist asked if I was going to be sick or if I felt faint, I thought he meant 'internally' from the infection but he meant from the pain as he was digging around LOL

Anyway no stitches *wahoo* and he 'thinks' that whatever was in there is out, he found fibers but no splinter. It did develop into a cyst that was pressing on and perhaps causing infection in the tendon (thus my inability to flex my finger) so I have antibiotic cream and tablets and he sent the 'junk' out for culturing. It still hurts but not as bad.
