Hi all! I'm Ashley and I am from Arkansas, USA! I have 2 dogs: an Italian greyhound named Peanut and a miniature schnauzer named Orion. I'm currently a Pre-Vet student getting close to attending graduate school! Yay!
Peanut is almost 5 years old. He's the light of my life, my reason for living, blah blah... you know, stuff people would say when their dogs mean more to them than most other things. I purchased him from an out of state breeder when he was 6 months old. My first indoor pet. As soon as he arrived (via an apparently awful plane ride) I knew I was in for an adventure! He wasn't like your typical pup. He was shaking uncontrollably in the back of the crate, as far away from me as he could get. So, we got in the car and I put his crate next to me in the back seat. I opened the crate but he was still hunkered down in the back of the crate. I talked softly and sweetly, but no positive response. So I ignored him. It only took about 2 minutes of me ignoring him before he crawled out of the crate, stared at me, then crawled upon my shoulder and gave me the slobbery-est wet willy I've ever gotten in my life! We've been inseparable ever since!
Orion is a handful and a half. Your typical hyperactive puppy (even though he's pushing 3 years old). He, too, came from an out of state breeder at 7 weeks old. He was such a tiny ball of fluff! He has been a perfect addition to my tiny family, encouraging me to get out more (because he needs 500million walkies a day). His favorite thing to do: stand on the back of the couch, stare at me until I finally look at him, whimper so I'll go over to him, then he climbs up (more like digs up) to rest his head on my shoulder so I'll carry him around like a baby. Seriously. He's going to be one of those dogs that stays in his puppy mentality until forever. It's a good thing I love puppies.
I'm ready to jump into the forums and see what's out there!
