I made Bugsy a special breakfast this morning

We have one of those Lysol soap dispensers for the dish washing soap - you know the kind where you put your sponge or hands underneath it and it automatically dispenses soap.

Well I had put his kibble in the bowl, added the 7 million supplements he's getting at the moment and went to add a bit of water.

Apparently the faucet was in a position that when I put the bowl underneath it, it triggered the soap dispenser, which promptly dispensed soap down the side of his bowl and into his food Surprise  I grabbed a paper towel and wiped it off the inside of the bowl, couldn't see any more and gave it to him.

He went over to it, sniffed it, looked at me like "what the heck is that??" Gave it another sniff and then ate it all up LOL

Is it any wonder he always sniffs before he takes treats off me Wink

Well, if you notice any bubbles escaping from his hind end later this evening, you'll know you missed a trace of soap in the bowl!  Wink

Bugsy, I think you and Ruby would make good dining companions -- you may detect an odd smell or two, but there's not much that will keep you from heartily enjoying a meal!

On another note, I need to get one of the soap dispensers.  We put our dish washing soap in a small squirt bottle and leave it on the sink (instead of the huge regular bottle it comes in).  I'm forever wiping up pools of water around it where DH grabs it with sopping wet hands when he's at the sink.  Yes, I'm grateful he helps with dish clean-up, but the area behind the sink looks like a flood went through it.  Do those dispensers work well (and relatively neatly)?  I've never seen one "in action."

Our husbands are related as well! Wink

Yes it works well - I bought one of the hand soap dispensers and somehow he makes a mess of that in the downstairs bathroom - my guess with that one is that he moves his hands before it finishes

When I saw a sale and I had a coupon for the kitchen one I thought I'd give it a try and it is much better - still water behind the taps but no soapy water :)  I have it and a pump hand soap dispenser in a small soap dish thing and that helps too. Definitely an improvement over the original packing and a pump dispenser.

Also because I am cheap, er um, 'thrifty' I don't buy their refills. I pry open the bottle with a butter knife and refill it with whatever I buy on sale :)

    Works fine

eta: and there is no way I could get it all out of the breakfast and it still smelled pretty strong. Its some environmentally friendly stuff from Costco so I knew he'd be alright hehehehe With his normal level of gas I can almost guarantee some bubbles later

Thanks for the dispenser info.  I'll have to try one.

Our husbands may be related with their "sink sloppiness," but you and I must be related with our sink neatness AND our thrifty natures.  I drive DH crazy with ziplock bags on our bathroom counter where I keep plastic bottles of hand lotion and such.  I cut the ends off so I can reach in and get every last drop.  I hate throwing away something when I know there's plenty of product stuck down there at the bottom where the squirty thing can't reach it.  It's not just money I'm saving; I'd rather not put perfectly usable stuff in the landfill!  OCD, I know.  Tongue Tied

Karen I know we were discussing Bugsy's food but I saw one of these dispensers after your post and got one.   Of course Ron is a gaget lover so he thinks I bought him a new gadget...   Works great!  Thanks for the tip!
