Apparently she put the wrong treat in his orbee football so he picked it up, took it to the pantry and nosed the bag of the 'right' treats. Good thing she has a sense of humor ;)

Couldn't figure out why Mozey didn't want to work on her marrow bone this morning--then, 5 min. later the thunder started. She does not like thunder.

Sinbad sez he loves it when Grandpa gets a little confused (more and more often these days)--yesterday, it resulted in an extra breakfast.  Needless to say Sinbad's supper last night was not what he was expecting.

Karen, I'm glad Bugsy is helping Grandma with the treats and everything.

Did I mention that the 3 yr old son of the bride & groom took a nasty (understatement) poolside spill a few days ago and is sporting two black eyes, bruising between his eyes, and cuts on his nose and above his mouth? And has a cold? I see some makeup on him before photos lol

Yeeesh!  

Pizza and beer sounds really good right about now.  I've got beer at home and I really think I'll be picking up some pizza to go with it!

this place is full of Brits, you can spot them easily because they are either paler than you could imagine a human could be OR various shades of bright pink & red.

This brought back memories of my visit in Palma de Mallorca (Spain) with the Navy. It was summertime and many Brits were on holiday. The women were taking advantage of the topless beaches, though it was pretty obvious some of them were going to be a little sore for a few days afterward.

Jackie do they have an amphibious vehicle? I think I'd like to have a ride, :) I am a pizza monster!

It might take me a while to get there but I'll pick you up first, we'll stop and watch the game somewhere and then head north.  We may have to stop for more pizza and beer before we pick up Tina and Deb.  lol  Too funny about Bugsy showing your mom the right treats.  Poor kid who took that nasty fall.  His parents can always say he got in the way when they tossed the bridal bouquet. 

Kate, no need for any parallel parking training when you're driving a dump truck.  I'll just nudge any nearby vehicles out of the way. lol  Sinbad, extra breakfast is great but not if it means less dinner.  lol 

Ginger, how did the family get together go?  Hope you got some rain out of Isaac but hope it didn't mess up your party.  I might have turned around and gone home if my coworkers thought I wasn't due in till tomorrow. :) 

Jackie the family get together was wonderful.  We got some really good rain on Friday.  Since Isaac was threatning we did the grocery trip Thurs afternoon, my daughter and her hubby came Wednesday evening to help out and get some extra time at home.  We just all relaxed and enjoyed the rain on friday.  By Sunday it had started warming up quite a bit but stayed in the low 90's so when the rest of the family came for Sunday lunch it was warm but not unbearable.  We got so lucky, Monday was so hot and humid and yesterday was awful hot. 

I was tempted to go back home but since I was here I thought I might as well stay.  That just gives me an extra day later in the year.

 Whoops!  What day is this?  I just posted in the Tuesday chat.  I'm so tired!

PS dermatologist confirmed I don't have any skin cancer.  Hooray!!  Will go back once a year since my sister has basal cells, but otherwise I am good.

Mayday's mom is still trying to recover from her loss.  She's ready now to put out feelers for dogs out there.  We have 2 Dobe breeders in this area that she's interested in, and also is sending a message to the rescue where we both got our dogs.  I hope something works out for her sake and whatever lucky dog ends up in her care.

I'm so proud of my Rally Novice students who entered the ring for the first time a week ago, and each earned more legs at my club's shows this weekend.  They scored 98, 97, 96, 98, 90 (b/c the dog jumped on her and the judge said he could have taken 3pts or 10 and he just decided to do 10), and a perfect 100.  They placed every time, three firsts, a second, and a third.  They're ready for Advanced work!  So excited for them!

What to say, what to say. I did some assessments with a child I work with and there is nothing other to say about it than it is utterly baffling. I have never seen anything like it before, nor had the other person I met with today. I'm not quite sure yet how to explain these results.

The place where I take the dogs to classes is having a practice weight pull in a few weeks. I could actually make it. It's nothing official, but will run like an actually pull. I'm not even sure Luke could pull the empty cart at all yet. Callie could probably pull something, and she could do for working with a crowd around. I'll have to see as we get closer to that date.

Julie, is your alarm clock one of those that gradually lights up over the course of a few minutes?  I've always wanted to try one of those because I hate the sudden buzz/ring of an alarm (I prefer a radio), and I'm so light deprived here that I think I'd respond well to something that slowly illuminates the room.

Welcome back, Ginger!  I'm sorry you shorted yourself a vacation day this week -- make some fun plans to use it later this year!

Jackie, how annoying about the dealership not even looking at your vehicle yet!  Thank doG for my independent mechanic shop . . . I've never had good luck with dealerships for service -- not when I had my Honda, and definitely not with my VW.  My mechanic also happens to be my neighbor, and he specializes in German cars, so I'm very grateful for the stellar service I get.  Once he even went in on a Saturday (without me asking) to fix my car so I could have it for the weekend!  He's awesome!

I was thinking there was another post I was going to reply to, but I forgot . . . oh, I think it was to tell you, Karen, that it sounds like there could be enough drama at the wedding that you might be able to sneak away unnoticed to watch the game tonight!  We're excited football season is starting, although it means summer is officially over.  Booo!
