Please tell me I'm not the only one

Who owns a dog that talks to their toys! Dodger will chatter, whine and groan while playing with his toys... He doesn't do this while playing with dogs.. Just inanimate objects. LOL. I plan on getting it on camera as it's very entertaining..

Tink doesn't talk to her toys (as long as that Nylabone will lie still so she can chew it she's happy).  HOWEVER -- she will talk to her food.  there are times she will stand back and grumble, and sometimes outright BARK at her food.

Give her a recreational bone?  And she will bark at that too!!  I'm not sure what she's saying but I tend to think it's probably rather rude and something like "Don't you DARE fight back!!!  You stay PUT!!"

LOL When I read this I thought of my friend's puppy who is ALWAYS groaning, barking, or yelping at his toys (he will seriously entertain himself with one toy all day long) and then I remembered....he's a Kelpie too!

Gabby has done this since she was a little puppy.  She does it with her toys, nylabones, dog play mates and human play mates. :)  She's not called Gabby for nothing. Big Smile She's not a kelpie and I doubt she has any kelpie mixed in but who knows?  lol

LMAO! So glad I'm not the only one! I gave Dodger my lunch yesterday straight out of the oven (it had gone badish and tasting wrong to me) and he barked and growled at it for about 5 minutes before eating it.

Caleb only talks to his Tiger and, sometimes Elmo.  He bounces his nose off Tiger's head to make him squeak, and kind of moans/groans at the same time.  You can get him to do it if you squeak Tiger.  Sometimes when he does "The Elmo", he whines or moans (different moan than with Tiger).  He used to do it all the time when he was a puppy.  Scared the daylights out of me the first time- I thought his mouth was stuck.

Maynard talks to nothing at all. He will get in these wierd zones where HE can see someting, but the rest of us (Murphy included) cannot. He will make noises I have never heard him make at anything else. Then he starts jumping and bouncing around like he's trying to entice the phantom to play. Sometimes he gets himself so worked up, he starts barking and doing nascar maynard all around our house. I dont know about that dog sometimes!Wink

    Am I the only one?

Dodger will get himself so worked up that he will literally climb walls. LOL.  He also talks to his squeak toys.
