Happy Birthday Bugsy (a few days early)

September 1st is the day we celebrate the Beast's birthday - he'll be SEVEN on Saturday!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Time sure flies!

We'll be away and I am unsure whether I would be able to post or not so decided to do it before I left.

Bugsy my boy, the lessons you have taught me Smile , the tremendous growth I have experienced trying to become the owner you deserve, the love you so freely distribute (on your own terms); you are more dog, in every way than I ever imagined owning.

Thank you for your patience, forgiveness, kindness and boundless enthusiasm.

It isn't easy to watch the signs of age creep in but I promise to keep you as happy and healthy as is possible.

Keep on zoomin' big boy.....................er not inside when Grandma is dogsitting, that could be disastrous!

Happy Birthday, Bug man!! Party!!! Somehow I see Bugsy as greeting a burglar like Max would. "Come in! Scratch my ears. Rub my belly. I'll show you where the good stuff is." Karen, I agree ... it's very hard to see the gray hairs creeping in and realize they're now canine senior citizens.

He probably doesn't need to be protective; his size is enough to deter most bad guys. My son took care of a 110 pound Great Dane-Pit Bull mix while a friend was out of town. The dog was a big sweetie but he didn't bother to lock his door while the dog was there. He said one look at Eugene was enough to prevent someone from breaking in.

Oh Bugs! What a very handsome dog you are. I have just started to get to know you and read your stories, but I can tell you are very special and loved my many! Nobody deserves a happier birthday than a dog so roll around, kick up some dust, and pig out!
