    Daisy spitting up

I tend to rush to the vet when if I would have waited it would of been better. Daisy is throwing up today she's been fine except for today she has thrown up at least 4 times now it's bright yellow is there anything I can give her or should I just take her to the vet worry wort over here.

I know someone more knowledgeable than me will be on, but this is what I think.

Is she a barfer in general.  Charlie has days/parts of days when he gets sick and then you get the whole empty stomach/bile barf.  I tend not to worry and give overcooked chicken and rice and see if he can keep that down.

Also, check her gums.  I think if they are white you want to get her to the vet because that's not good.  You may want to take her during working hours so you don't have a make a midnight run to the evet in case things gets worse.

Thanks I'll check her gums now wish me luck lol

If she is spitting up yellow, then her belly is empty.  Assuming her gums look OK and are not white, if you can get a little bit of food in her belly that usually helps to settle it.  Some rice, boiled chicken.  Bland, but not a liquid.

    So glad she's feeling better!

Charlie is a barfer so I usually don't freak at first if that is the only symptom.  Again, so glad she's feeling better!!

Glad to hear that your Daisy is feeling better! I'm not a vet, so take my observations as just that, observations. My dogs, seven of them, will occasionally upchuck bile, or bile and grass. It seems that this is a dogs way of getting indigestables out of the stomach. Often the grass will contain bits of horse hoof, bone, or hair. My dogs live a rural lifestyle, and there is no telling what tasty tidbits they find. Yesterday Friskie was trotting around with a chunk of dried hide, probably something the barn cats had. That, of course went in the trash!! My rule of thumb is to watch the upchucking dog. If the dog is not acting sick, I give a bland meal like the others advised. If it continues for more than 24 hours, or the dog can't hold a meal down I start to worry. Thankfully, with the bile vomit, I have never had to seek veterinary help. Hopefully Daisy will continue to feel good, and this won't happen again any time soon. ,
