Isaac ??? check in?

    Isaac ??? check in?

I'll start -- because Florida got lucky I think.  We **definitely** got some of the outer bands of Isaac this afternoon -- it would rain, stop, rain stop but when it WAS raining you could see the squall type of wind.  By late afternoon our biggest storm warnings had been lifted in Orange County (we're dead in the middle of the state) but Polk county (SW of Disney which is Osceola county) was till under a watch til tomorrow (Monday) nite I think.  Polk is Retiree Heaven -- tons of mobile home parks.

There are a BUNCH of us that could be at risk depending on how he blows - Louisiana, Miss, Alabama, and maybe even the FL Panhandle & Georgia again?  I'm not a major weather watcher but WE have had sufficient rain (the lakes are danged near at flood stage).  I so wish I could send some of this water to some of you who need it so much.  It would be nice if the tail end of Isaac later in the week would bring some rain to those of you who need it so badly.

    Take care all.

Thanks Callie, so glad to hear all is well so far your way.

Hope that everyone is safe and out of harms way.

It would be nice if some of you who have been so dry could get a little rain out of this.

The rain seems to be headed our way, hopefully without the winds and flooding of last year.

Thanks for starting this Callie, have been concerned about you folks down that way.

Looks like it's headed straight for NOLA...I feel so bad for those people.

Me too.  My friend's boyfriend from NOLA just moved in with us and his sister is down there... he's worried about her and gets regular updates.  Last night as we were sitting at the table, he said she'd just texted that she lost power but was ok and prepared.  To which my friend asked "how can you even prepare?!"  Scary.  Prayers for everyone there.

The rain, etc. has spread SO far east.  Am wishing some of our Texas friends who still NEED rain could have gotten this.  We've just gotten intermittent but pouring/soaking rain.  I just wish I could send some of this to those of you who need it.  I'm not griping -- we got off easy on this.  The rain isn't harmful (we're a tad mildewed is all) but I feel bad the Nawlins is taking such a beating again.  At least it's only a Cat 1
