Mindless Monday

    Mindless Monday

I am drinking my first cup of coffee in weeks and it tastes so good! My sar group worked the woodward dream cruise this weekend, selling hot dogs and water for donations. I am sorry I missed it looking at all the photos. It looked like they had lots of fun. The dream cruise takes place on woodward ave which runs from pontiac to detroit. It is attended by millions of people. The police shut down the road (3 lane divided) and people parade their classic cars around. Some cars are not so classic, but just bazaar. They was a scooby van there apparently and a gum drop car ;p anyway, people pop up tents and chairs and have a ball for the entire weekend. It is a pretty big ordeal in MI I am off to the docs office first thing today, then a quick stop in the office followed by an hr drive to my meetings and field inspections. My coworker friend was going to look for her moms ampliphier thingy for me to use. I kind of hope she doesn't find it, I will be way too self concious.

Julie, I'm chuckling at some of the "auto correct" words in your post.  I hope the doc visit goes well and that your surgery tomorrow puts you on the road to getting better.

One of my nieces is in the hospital having her baby.  We're excited to find out what she's having as they won't know the gender till the baby makes an appearance.

Good luck Julie! I bet that coffee tasted great!

    Here's my song today http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dPmbT5XC-q0

I gave B half a breakfast and put it in a ball today - he ate a 2lb frozen lamb shank last night in less than 10 minutes so didn't think he needed a full breakfast - he clearly feels otherwise

I need to write an entire presentation today, gulp! Very glad to start the day with a clear desk though

Julie, I hope your ears continue to heal. Isn't your tube surgery tomorrow?

Good luck writing that presentation, Karen.

I hope all goes well with the baby's birth, Jackie.

Yesterday at work a guy asked me if my dad's name was Bob and if he goes to the local fitness center. He swore he saw me there on Saturday. Nope, not me, but I do get this frequently. Will my doppelganger please stand up? Hmm

I'm headed to work and to the allergy doctor today. Hopefully they can tell me what was going on last week after I had my shots. Then Luke and I are going out to walk tonight. Maybe i'll bring Callie. Last week, I took someone with me, and she is planning to come again. I don't think she's going to drive with me. I hope not. The park is maybe a 1/3 mile loop. Several of the people just congregate in the field though. She made it about 2 laps before she was ready to quit. I've stopped Luke at that point when it was hot, but it was not hot last week. Luckily, one of the other people on the walk was a neighbor of hers, so she went home with him. I wasn't about to stop and go home at that point. Hopefully she's not thinking of coming with me, because it won't be hot, and I'm not leaving that early.

Julie - I am so glad you are feeling better and good luck with your surgery tomorrow.  Personally, I can't stand the Dream Cruise.  Every year we go out of our way to avoid it.  I just don't get it - which is odd considering the industry I built my life around.  I know a ton of people go and have a blast though.  This year was the first that it wasn't 10000 degrees or raining which is good.

We were in Chicago area this weekend visiting my BIL and SIL and nieces.  We had a good time and I got to love on their beagle Molly.  Riley had a good time with her cousins and all their niehgbors.  Amazingly enough, we didn't hit one once of Chicago traffic even though we arrive around rush hour on Friday - I just knew there was a God.

Crazy busy week here at work - I have no idea how I am going to get everything done.  Which means I probably should get  back to work.

    Take care everyone!

Three people live in my house.  I don't understand how something can go missing (usually something of mine or something I use like a favorite dutch oven) and not one person knows what happened to it.  How is that possible ???  It's not like the dog took it for pete's sake.

ETA:  Hope everything goes smoothly for your niece, Jackie !!  Let us know the name and stuff when you find out !

Good luck to your niece Jackie!

I wound up putting a handful of food in Bugsy's bowl - he wasn't going to let me work otherwise

I have achieved the incredible and have one slide complete! I see a coffee filled day ahead

well no he hasn't taken the dutch oven but he has stolen other kitchen essentials. Unfortunately his idea of making dinner is keeping everything raw Stick out tongue

Deb, you've obviously had a dutch oven burglar sneak into the house.  Jamison probably tried to stop the thief but was dissuaded with the promise of a nice stew. lol

Baby has arrived and mom and little Ireland Rose are doing fine.  7lb 10 oz and 20 inches long.  Her big sister is thrilled to have a little sister.  :)  The pic they sent me is super sweet but I think all pictures of moms and new babies are pretty incredible.

One slide, Karen?  oy, you've got a long day ahead of you.  I suggest using pictures of Bugsy and making that work for your presentation.  lol

It was 57 degrees this morning and over the weekend we got some good rain.  I think we might have to mow the yard this week.   After 2  days of off and on rain we can see green stuff :)  That is what the grasshoppers are not eating.

Karen, lol, thanks for the trip down memory lane.  I had to play it for the girls in the office, there are 2 of us that had memories and 2 others that were  "Who is that?" Stick out tongue

Going to be mid 80's here this week...woohooo!  The kids are coming home next week...woohoo!  Got so much to do, I cooked all weekend so I wouldnt have to do too much while they were here.

    Have a great day all.

ETA: Julie hope all goes well with the ears and you get to feeling yourself again soon.

    same here!

Well I couldn't hold out any longer, just made myself a lovely egg sandwich on ciabatta roll - I melted cheddar into the egg, added some thyme and black pepper = YUM!!!

I am up to 8 slides but right before eating decided I had taken the talk away from where I started it - LOL

Back to the grind - still drizzling too Umbrella
