It's really foggy here this morning.

Dog visitor is going home tonight. He tried to take one of the cat toys that I hadn't picked up (though he already had 3 dog toys I gave him from my stash). Buddy gave him a stink eye and a swat sans claws, then the dog went after him. I've had enough of playing ref.

Waiting to hear if my co-worker's baby made her entrance into the world last night.

 yay for new babies. I have also had enough of my dog visitor, but she is staying until Sunday. Each day she gets less barky though. Maybe by sunday she will only bark when someone comes to the house, like normal dogs, vs barking at every little noise or barking just to bark because she is in the room and I'm not looking at her.

Thinking of Twister today!

I bought 2 new pillows last night. OMG new pillows!!! I think I died and went to heaven. I bought one down pillow because I typically always sleep better with a feather pillow and my existing down pillow has fallen apart. Feathers exploded last time I took the dust mite cover off. The other pillow I got is a Sheex down alternative. I have bought down alternatives before and never liked them but this one...omg, I think I like it better than the down one. I slept like a baby.

absolutely!!

We actually didn't awake to steamed over windows!! It was like a miracle to be able to see outside from inside LOL

It was pleasantly cooler and definitely less humid - so very thankful for that.

Still pissy about yesterday's meeting but I had best just keep moving forward with the rest of the 'stuff' I have to do

Bugsy & I are off to the ortho vet this afternoon - I don't really have a good feel for what's going on with him which has me more concerned than if I did know what is going on

It's dog bath day here today. And, I need to start to get ready for the fall semester.

Thanks for the good thoughts and vibes for Twister's appointment today.  I'll update later this afternoon as our appointment isn't until 1 PM.  He's feeling good and peeing good so I'm super happy in that regard.  I think, hope, pray that his bowel problem is finally starting to heal.  Yesterday was good and so far today too.  :) 

Julie, I love new pillows and I'm glad you got some new ones.  When is your surgery scheduled for the tubes? 

Karen, good luck with B's ortho visit.  I hope they figure out what's going on.  Sorry about your frustrating interview yesterday.

Not too much happening here today. I need to go dig out my shirt and Luke's bandana in a few so we can go visit. Tomorrow the Grange Fair starts! I love the Grange Fair. We're going to take my niece and put her on a few rides. Hopefully she likes it. 

 The surgery is scheduled for next week Tues.

Has anyone else been watching shark week? It's pretty fun tv programing. Last night there was this Irishman as the lead person in the show. He was going to feed sharks on a dive trip and he was hilarious. He said "These are large meat eating predators. And I'm large meat! This is nuts" ;p  Anyway, he ended up feeding sharks like the ones we were swimming with and feeding on our dives - nurse sharks. They pretty much won't hurt a fly. Well, maybe  a fly, but not humans. Regardless, there's no telling when a big white tip, great white, bull shark or tiger shark will swim up to take a look you know? Watching all these programs makes me question our sanity for swimming with the sharks in Belize.

Thinking good thoughts for Twister and Bugsy today. So glad that Twister seems to be feeling better.

It was 107 yesterday and will be 105 today. I think today is the 7th day of 100+ temps and we have a few more to go. Our electric bill is going to be jaw dropping.

How in the world did I think this was Wednesday????

Good morning all...another cool evening here thank goodness.  It has been a welcome break from the triple digits.

Bugs and Twister sending good vibes for you both and hugs for your Moms.

Had the first of our appointments this week for estimates on hvac and roof.   I really liked this young man and he works for a very reputable and highly recommended company in this area.   They are and I knew they would be higher than the bid I got last year from the company that is no longer in business.  I really didnt want to borrow any money but I can see that it will take me another couple of years to save going at the rate I am and I dont think we can wait that long, besides by then prices will be higher...ugh...guess I just have to bite the bullet.  Tonight another hvac guy and then 2 nights of roofers, lol.  This is the most company we have had in ages, lol.  The boys loved the guy last night...he likes dogs.

Julie I am glad they will be able to get your tubes in so quickly, sending healing vibes your way.

 Oh gosh Gin I don't envy you dealing with those quotes - many in our neighborhood are having their roofs done so I know we need to have it on our radar, shudders!

And Cathy I hope you get some relief from the triple digits soon - we went through that 9 day streak earlier in the summer and I just tried to not think about the electric bill.

Julie I am glad your surgery is soon - hopefully with relief and healing following soon after!
