    Tracy, I can't believe you guys haven't had a 90* day yet. That's crazy.

I am always impressed with deb's drink posting skills too ;p

The doc trip was not a good one. Both of my ear drums have holes in them and I have blood and fluid in my middle ears :( i am not usually one to cry easily but I was crying during that visit. It was very painful. They made me lay back with my head down for 15 mins before I could go because I almost passed out. That was rough.

It's a skill that is certainly not for the faint of heart, Tracy

LOL!  I'll take 2-Brain erasers please, can you make those frozen and supersize it.

ETA: Julie ouch....hope you get to feeling better very soon.

That sounds horrible, Julie.  Hope you get some relief soon.

Holy crap, Julie! Is there anything the doc can do for you? Man, I'm crying just thinking of the pain you were in.

    • Gold Top Dog

Julie I'm just cringing at the thought of how much pain and discomfort you are in.  Is there anything that they can do to help alleviate it?

    • Gold Top Dog

Julie....OWIE!!  Hope they've given you something to help the pain.

So happy that Twister is doing somewhat better.

Please send me a pitcher of that drink....I'm gonna need it!

Julie, I'm so sorry about your poor eardrums.  That happened to a friend and my mom and they were both in agony and that was only one ear.  I hope they heal quickly and completely.  You need a pitcher of Deb's drink, stat.

If anyone else calls out of a shift, I may cry or beat people with the 2 x 4.  Probably both.  *head desk*  I enjoy scheduling I really do, but weeks when I have this many caregivers out are just not fun.

I take it back, I will have one or 5 of those cocktails please!

Julie - I read about your ears and the appt. on FB and still haven't gotten over how awful that must've been. You've gone thru some difficult procedures between your sinuses and now your ears. Do really need the stuff above your neck? Kidding - but yeouch!! (((Hugs)))

Aaah@!  Aaaah!!  Aaaah!!! AAaahh!  I'm the little emoticon running around screaming like a chicken with its head cut off as it pulls its hair out!  That sounds TERRIBLE!!  Aaah! I can't stand the thought of it!!

I tried to give blood today at the blood drive at work.  I was too anemic again.  However, as I was waiting to go in, this nasty nurse approached those of us who were waiting and said "I've been watching you guys and you have to read these forms.  You can't just ignore the packet and put it back.  If these don't get read I could just shut this whole thing down."  Turns out she'd been nasty to others throughout the day.  Her name tag was obscured so I asked her supervisor for her name.  Don't be a jerk to people who are donating time and blood, lady!

Wow!  Somebuddy needs to get laid.  Or, in the very least go through some "how to be nice to the donors training."

Here, let me punch you in the nose, and the bloody results can be my donation, thank you very much, have a nice day.

Julie, I hope you are feeling better.

I had a response typed out and we got a power surge.......

Julie I am so sorry - I hope you heal swiftly and get some relief very soon!

Jackie when I read your message this morning I had the biggest smile! I am sooooooooooooo happy for you and T!

I took B to Pilot Mountain today for some hiking for an older guy he can sure move it LOL Gave me a few scares but apparently his mountain goat impersonation is still top notch

I really needed to get 'away' and this was perfect. Its about 140 miles each way but it was an easy journey. I posted a few pics - one is as funny a moment I've had with B. He is an odd boy at times LOL

OK much to do and many emails to respond to

Deb, I think you should put all the cocktail recipes from all your posts into a book (Drinks by Deb).  Those of us with less "drinking and bartending experience" would appreciate having such a valuable reference.  Speaking for myself, I don't know how to make any drinks besides pouring wine into a glass, so I'd never come up with the amazing cocktails you suggest.  It would make a fun coffee table book even if you don't need to look at the recipes.  I'd buy a copy for myself, as well as a few to give as gifts!

Julie, my ears hurt just reading about your doctor appointment.  I think I've mentioned it before, but one time I got on an airplane with a severe sinus infection, and the pain in my ears was EXCRUCIATING.  I thought someone was putting ice picks into my head.  I usually have major anxiety attacks when I fly, but that flight I wouldn't have cared if we crashed -- I just wanted the pain to go away.   I thought my eardrums ruptured, but the doc said no.  I sure hope you get some relief soon.

The tile guy finished the entryway, but there was sheetrock damage after tearing off the old tile on the fireplace, so now a different guy is here fixing that.  Poor Ruby doesn't know what is going on with all the racket, but both guys petted her.  The tile guy has 2 Rottweilers and the sheetrock guy has 2 labs, a Harlequin Great Dane, and a toy poodle.

*comforts sharon* you can make it through this day!

Paige, my office dismissed a nurse once and shut our own thing down to reschedule for another day because the nurse sucked so bad. She didn't have a bad attitude but she needed a lot more training.

My ears don't hurt all that bad right now, just a twinge of pain now and again which tylonal is taking care of for the most part. It is mostly just uncomfortable and whenever I move around it is like something is slamming into my ear drums (fluid no doubt). The doc said no ibuprophen due to bleeding. I am thinking for next weeks visit I should take a xanax (if I had some) and tylonal beforehand. I don't think I could sit through that again. The doc kept yelling at me (well talking firmly) don't move! Don't move! Don't bump me, this will go right through your ear! It was impossible not to flinch unfortunately. He even put stuff in my ears to numb them but it didn't work.

Today seems to be vball day on the olympics. I am enjoying chilling on the couch watching all of the games. I always loved beach volleyball, but I was never very good at it. I have this fear of balls flying toward my face lol cant imagine why. Maybe it was that floor hocky ball I took in the eye during gym class in high school ;p
