    Thursday chat

Ahhh, finally on the downside of the hill that we call a week.  I've been insanely busy and extra productive this week, but, I'm wearing down and getting tired.  Add in training a new person and I need a weekend!

Good thots for Jackie and Twister.  Clear ear thots for Julie, and hugs for Paige.  And also for whoever I might have forgotten!

    Have a good day everyone!

I'm in a great mood this morning!  Twister's feeling good and his poop problems seem to be resolving.  I got to sleep in my own bed for the first time in over a week. :)  His appetite is great and he is enjoying not being crated constantly.

Gabby has an appointment for her shots this morning.  We're super busy at work and I've gotten so behind this past week that I don't think I'll catch up for days and days and this will put me farther behind.

Yay for twister feeling spunky and you getting to sleep in your own bed

Thanks Glenda. I am heading to the ent this morning. Unfortunately, he is not familiar with diving ent injuries so we will see. All the dive forums say to go to a doc that knows about diving. I can only see docs on my ins list though so my choices are limitied. Hopefully he will give me some steriods and antibiotics and I will have my hearing back in a couple of weeks. This non hearing stuff is really a drag. Plus I feel all congested.

1 more day of vacation then it's back to work. I am going to make the most of today and watch some olympics, nap, maybe exercise and do laundry but that is the extent of it :)

Jackie - I'm so glad Twister is feeling good and you were able to sleep in your own bed last night.

It's been a busy week for me too but I'm hoping today will be calmer. I'll really be glad when this heat wave breaks and I think it will this weekend. It'll be in the 90s but that'll be a lot better than 100+.

Seems kind of wasteful to return from vacation on a Friday.  Stick out tongue I hope your ear issue can be resolved.

Glad to read Twister is feeling better and you are, too, Jackie.

I'm perpetually in a state of being behind at work, yet I still find time to come here. Smile

    Yea for Twister!

Very busy...everyone have a good day!

     Yaay for Twister!

We took Ari to the vets a couple nights ago because her eye was gunky and a little red and had been for a few days.  Of course, $42 later, they found nothing wrong and then last night it was swollen up a bit.  I think that was unrelated and probably a bug bite.  Still a tad swollen this morning but much better, though still a  bit gunky.  Either way, her eye hasn't been bothering her at all so the vet thinks it's just clearing up on it's own.  At least Ari was happy to visit the vet's office!  She is tired of me cleaning out the gunk in her eye though.  She gives me this look that just says "pleeeaaaseeeeee no more"  LOL

I did not realize it's full moon time, which completely explains the insanity that has been this week.  Multiple staff out sick or with broken down cars, which makes scheduling shifts difficult if almost impossible at this point.  Friday cannot come soon enough.

Love it!  However....Soda, I don't need no stinkin' soda.  Straight up people, straight up!  Stick out tongue

I go to the Podiatrist this afternoon...we will see what next steps are for my mobility.  I sure hope he lets me start bearing weight on the foot.  Rick doesn't think its going to happen, though.  We shall see.

Good vibes to ALL that need them...and Cheers to those that are cool!  Wink

Deb, I'm always impressed by how quickly you find an appropriately-themed drink in response to each day's topic(s).  You must have a great set of bartending reference books or websites at your fingertips.  The photos alone are tempting, nevermind the recipes!

Great news that Twister is really back to his usual self with eating, eliminating, and exercising.  He's got a big cheering section, that's for sure!

I'm home waiting for the slate installation guy to arrive.  He was supposed to be here at 8:30, but he called to say it would be closer to 10am.  The first few days of the month are insanely busy for me at work, so this is not a good day to be away from the office -- I'm hoping he'll be done early enough in the afternoon so I can get to work after he leaves.  I just don't feel comfortable leaving him here unattended.  Yes, I'm paranoid.

It's gorgeous outside -- bright blue sky, 60 degrees.  Tomorrow, our version of a heat wave is starting (high 80's).  They say we'll get our first 90-degree day on Saturday.  Did you notice I said "first?"  Yes, it's August, and we've not hit 90 yet this year.

It's a skill that is certainly not for the faint of heart, Tracy.  I'm a professional drinker with years and years of experience.  Big Smile
