I need to wear blincers any time I am near Lowes. A couple of weeks ago we got a two teir fountain to put on the covered part of our patio---to many leaves from the sycamore and live oak trees for it to be in the yard. I also got a few kinda exotic plants to put around it. Went back a few days later and got some garden statues they had on sale--a good size mom and baby seal, a whle, a dolphin riding waves and put them under a bush in the front yard that we had trimmed up and put pea gravel around. Also outlined in with double stack of fancy bricks.
well, we had to go to the Tractor Store today to pick up bird seed and that means passing Lowes and hubby asked if I wanted to stop and I said no----yes. Thought I would pick up some more of the little colorful musrooms to put with the greenery around the fountain. But I also got the cutest turtle with a buttervly on it's back to put there and also a gull on a buo to put with thesea stuff in front yard. Had already added a small bunny to the fountain area, one I had had in my garden.
We had been thinking about getting a nother birdbath. Have one in the front yard that is fairly deep and one off the patio that is pretty deep, but the one in the cetner of the yad is a very shallow cheap plastci thing and one bird taking a bath spalshes all the water out---and with this drought so many birds come to drink at the baths. So we got a deeper stone one. I am not using the shallow pastic one as a feeder for the larger birds like white wing doves, ring neck doves, morning doves, grackles, tha are a little large for my good size barn feeders.
Do you think that was enough. Heck, no, we went ahead and go tht new patio furniture we had tlaked about geeting--a love seat, two charis, an end table and a coffee table. What I had was 25 years old, and did need to be replaced. But yep, I need blincers when I go over to Aransas Pass.
