Tired Tuesday talk

Oh goodness yes.  Thinking of Jackie and Twister as well as sending love and prayers to Sarah, her Mom and family.  And Paige has had it rough lately too, so will send some hugs her way.

Thinking of Jackie & Twister and Sarah & family today.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 3-day weekend. The only thing I didn't complete was waxing my truck. I did get most of the interior detailed.

The massage was awesome - I really needed it. Lots of knots in my shoulders.

Barb, glad you are getting a better boss at work. I hope your foot heals soon.

My pear tomatoes are getting ripe! I've been eating them and they are just as good as I remember from last summer.

Barb, sorry about your crick.  :(  I read your post yesterday about your soon to be ex boss.  Wow.  Hope all goes well with the transition.

Tina, I'm jealous of your massage.  I could use one today.

My stomach is in knots and I didn't sleep well.  I did find out that the oncologist Twister is seeing today went to Purdue. They are on the cutting edge of treatment for his type of cancer.  I felt very encouraged by that info.  Twister's appetite is back and he's feeling really good. :) He was shocked at not being given his breakfast this morning and I had to use every ounce of will power to not give him some food.

They finally came up with a product that would have been awesome when B was young - a GPS/e-collar/e-fence/lighted/waterproof collar system with a 9 mile range!  technology is stunning at times

Today I am thrilled to announce that I am finally getting my hair cut!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The woman that normally does my hair had a baby in June and while she is off another stylist is covering for her. Needless to say the wait for appointments is ridiculous so I have been ready to cut my own hair for a week! It will be a relief to have it done

I have the Olympics on in the background and kayaking is on - thankfully that isn't the sort of stuff I do on the lake

Well, found out that I will be changing divisions.  As most of you know I currently work for OnStar and will be shifting over to big brother GM in the next few weeks.  Part of  me is happy since it opens up so many more opportunities and the office I might work out of is literally a mile from the house.

However, working here is like working for a small company with big company benefits so I am a little apprehensive.  The other analytics department is HUGE so I will definitely become a small fish very quickly.

My ENTIRE family is heading to Kings Island tomorrow for a quick overnight vacation.  It's the first time the entire clan will be together when there isn't someone getting married or for a funeral.  It should be a blast.

 finally I have confirmation of the interview for the contract I am hoping to get - of course in the meantime i have scheduled various appointments that will conflict with delivery of the contract over the next month. Oh well, time will tell

Lots going on here at work, it seems like the heat is making everyone sick or tired or cranky.....wish I could give everyone a "happy pill" :)

Woke up thinking about Twister's appt. today and hoping it goes well.

The Belize girls are back home today, right? I could tell from the pictures that they had a great time (thanks Julie!!).

Congrats on the new position Lisa! I'm sure you'll be a big fish in no time :).

You wouldn't think taking one day off would create a backlog of work but my desk is overflowing with paperwork :(.

I've decided I like my new hair color and will probably keep it this way for awhile.  I'll see about snapping some photos in direct light lol and share 'em here.  

The significant other and I are FINALLY starting to do something with our condo.  As my coworker put it, we haven't "nested".  We're settling on a new dining room table and we're getting rid of a good portion of our current furniture and buying some new stuff.  Maybe we'll even FINALLY put up some pictures lol.  Rather, I'll have him put them up.  It's never pretty when I try to hang up pictures.  Hopefully, we'll be done in a month or so.

I don't know what happened to our usual delta breeze, but it sure didn't kick in last night.  I stepped outside about 9 p.m. and it was h.o.t.  That odd little fan that DS #2 gave me was a real lifesaver.  I don't ever remember sleeping that well on a hot night.

I noticed three or four big PG&E trucks on the closest cross street on Sunday.  One neighborhood in town has had some serious gas pipe leak problems, so I hope my neighborhood isn't next on the list ... and if it is, I hope PG&E manages to stay on top of it. You'd think that in older neighborhoods, they'd realize they have to check for gas leaks every now and then instead of waiting for a major break.
