I hope you guys have something fun planned to celebrate.

He mentioned that he felt a small hangover coming on. lol  We had planned to go out tonight to celebrate if he passed. :)  I'd love to learn about medical terms, etc.  IT isn't something I'm all that interested in except where it impacts me personally, such as my computer breaking.  If that happens, I cry like a baby and call DH's 911 line. :)

I have to drop Twister off at the vet's tomorrow morning. Crying  I noticed he has a small lump below his rectum.  Saw him scooting on the floor yesterday.  My first thought was Megan's dog Kaiser so of course I'm all freaked out.  I'm off to read up on the internet and freak myself out even more. :(

I'm keeping my fingers crossed that you guys on the east coast get some relief soon.  I didn't know how bad it really was until I read the news report. High winds, high temps, high humidity and no power in a lot of places.  Not a good combination.

I have three 6 packs of portulaca sitting on the front porch, waiting to go into their pots.  I hope I can make myself go out there and get them planted before they croak.  I hate when that happens

Don't even go to that place. I know I'd be worried too though. (((Hugs))) I'm glad you don't have to wait long to get it checked out.

Hopefully he just needs his glands extracted or whatever they do.  He'll be ok but sending you vibes.

sent a message Jackie - hoping all is fine! and Congrats to Mr Jackie

Cathy I sure hope some of those flowers pop for you

My headache and weird eye stuff are back

I went to Walmart because I figured its best not to be able to see people properly and I couldn't do any real work LOL

My friend Carol was going through stuff over the weekend (too hot to do much else) and shredded all her medical stuff for Campbell Crying Its about a year ago he was PTS.

bwahahaha!  Sorry about your head and wonky vision.  Don't ignore that, girlfriend or I'll have to start nagging you.  Poor Carol.  Hugs to her from us here who loved Campbell through his pictures.

I'm hoping all Twister needs is his anal glands expressed.  He's not ever had any trouble with them but that doesn't mean things don't change.  I tried to find the lump I felt this morning but now can't find. Embarrassed  He's really annoyed at me poking his butt.  I'm sure he'll be fine but will drop him off for the vet to look at and they can do the glands if that's what's going on.

Um hmmm, and my knee hasn't hurt one single day since I made the appt. This is why I've never pursued any x-rays or anything because it's so intermittent. I hope whatever it was with Twister has resolved on it's own and he can just have a fun day at the vet's office.

soooo crazy here today  *********running thru waving********** I will catch up later :)

Man we have a gimpy crew around here today...butt problems, knee problems, head and eye problems. I hope you all figure out what is going on!

Karen I am so jealous of your fountain. I love the photos you post with the birds enjoying it.

We had our monthy e&o meeting today (engineering and operations) and a new guy sat in with us. I was chuckling the whole time because he kept leaning over to his neighbor to ask what every acronym meant. I swear every other word we speak is an acronym. I remember thinking I needed an acronym dictionary when I first started just so I could follow a conversation, then someone told me that there actually is an acronym dictionary for my organization. *rolls eyes*

Yay for mr jackie passing his test

Jewliee, the acronym thing is too funny.  My last job was like that -- acronyms for everything.  It reminds me of a Friends episode -- Chandler was talking about a report in his office, the WENUS report (you can guess what it rhymes with!).  I don't even remember what it stood for, but it made sense as I recall.

Belated congrats to your DH, Jackie.  And I hope the good vibes continue over to Twister.  Hopefully it's just a slight anal gland infection that is easily treated.

I'm so late getting to chat today that Deb's daughter's first day of work is already over.  I hope it went smoothly,  I bet she'll sleep better tonight than she did last night!

The sun finally came out this afternoon.  Ruby has been enjoying the backyard.  She went over to the edge of the fence to watch the neighbor kids playing.  They came over and started giving her sit and down commands through fence (it's chain link).  They didn't know I was outside, but I could see she actually responded!  I was shocked she obeyed just their voices, but then I realized they'd say, "Good Girl!" and give her a raspberry off their bushes.  I think she had a dozen raspberries by the time they were done with her.  I had to Google it to make sure they're not poisonous to dogs, and she should be okay!

Running back in quickly... Education and behavior analysis is filled with acronyms (most of you have seen a few, like R+ for positive reinforcement I'm sure). There is actually a book of terms, acronyms, famous names in the field. It's actually a favorite of mine because they used funny examples.

Hot.. Very hot.. And humid, with lots of direct sunshine. Medical type was telling us that beer is not a good cure for hot, humid, sunshine. I was hoping for a bolt of lightening to strike her for blaspheming. I spent a little too much time in the sun and almost passed out. The obvious problem is lack of liquids to drink, especially liquids fortified with natural products.

I keep expecting to see Ace, our neighbors Brit, standing in our fish pond.

My daughter just called. She and her family were at Itaska State Park, headwaters of the Mississippi River. Storm just rolled through, taking down trees. Their camper was bent a little, but nobody hurt. If I had known they were at the Park, and that there had been a storm, I would have worried. Sometimes, I guess ignorance is bliss

I think Piper got most of our strawberry harvest. We had to fence off the grapes, and trim the peach tree so there were no low branches. The little snot would stand on her hind legs to reach the peaches, or just spring us and grab one. Dogs love produce.

    It's STILL Monday?

    Marty, that's really good for a four-year-old!

That's funny, Tracy! Good girl, Ruby.

Lisa, sorry, but I had to laugh at anal gland "extraction." tee hee hee!! I totally knew what you meant but for some reason it made me giggle.

Good luck with your rump, Mister Twister.

I think I had more I was going to comment on but my brain is failing me...
