Wednesday Chit Chat . . . Deb W.

It's been so nice and cool and breezy at night that we've been sleeping with the windows open. However, Jamison hears every freaking critter within a 5 mile radius and wants out to chase them. Couple that with my kid being "out on the town", I got no sleep and am dragging today. I'm thinking of leaving early but Jamison probably won't share the couch with me for a nap. Anyone want a house guest for a few days ??

We had two cool nights but here it comes - after today we are forecast for 4-5 days of 100+

I wanted the windows open last night but the forest fire near the coast is still burning strong and apparently the winds were just right last night. It smelled kind of nice until my chest (asthma) decided between that and playing in mulch for many hours was not conducive to breathing Sad

Lol Tina. Deb, abbie does that too. Drives me bonkers because sometimes I don't know if she really wants to go out to potty or chase off critters.

I am sleepy tired today, but then again I am sleepy tired every day.

I played kickball for the first time in my life, I think, last night. It was fun but I truly sucked at it. Pretty much everyone did so it was ok ;p

It is supposed to be a scorcher today and we have our night test, take 2, tonight. Once again, based on abbies performance lately and how hot it will be, I expect to fail. Atleast her leg doesn't seem to be bothering her. She is just hell bent on eating grass everytime we are out in the woods these days. It is hard to tell me you found someone with a mouthfull of grass! What is with that grass eating anyway? Think she is actually hungry? This obsessive grass hunting is not normal for her

I woke up at 6:07 today, and I needed to leave at 6:15. I made it on time though. I actually went to sleep pretty early, between 9-10. I felt so of crappy yesterday, and at least now I do feel better. I have so much work to do today when I get home from seeing clients. I need to write something that I would usually spend 10-20 hours on. It needs to go in by Friday. Usually, I would do it over the course of a few weeks. I will hopefully be done tonight.

My boss is an horses behind. He rescheduled a meeting we had set up today with the corporate auditors at 10:30 today to 6:30 on Friday morning. WTH He said he wanted to make sure they knew who was in charge. Um, HELLO they are auditors, they are in charge. Now I have to get here at 5:00 on Friday to prep - fricking idiot - RETIRE ALREADY!!!

There are certain types of grass that Bugsy will hunt down to eat. In fact we had that experience this morning

Can't say what it is and will say he does eat grass regularly. But some grass is extra special. Glad her leg is doing better. I have wondered at times if he eats grass to scratch his throat (relief from allergies???) or sometimes if he's uncomfortable. Is she doing this since her leg injury?

I've seen dogs eat grass when they are supposed to be "working" when they are stressed/anxious. Just a thought.

Deb, send Jamison here and DH can watch all the dogs while you and I go on vacation. :)

Lisa, sorry your boss is being such a butthead.

We had a high temp of 106 yesterday. It's only supposed to be 100 today. Cool At least the humidity is low. Wish we could get some rain but that's not in the forecast.

The county imposed an outdoor burn ban. Unfortunately, that doesn't include a fireworks ban for the 4th. Last year they did ban fireworks and people had fits because of it. I think it's ridiculous to risk fires in dry hot conditions but we must keep the idiots happy.

Karen, sorry your asthma is bad. I'm glad you got a few days of nice temps before the heat comes back.
