Has anyone bought the Himalayan dog chews? If so, are they worth the price?

My dogs love them and they last a decent amount of time except with Twister who manages to break off huge chunks and swallows them. :(  You must have seen the same "deal" I got today. lol

Yep - do you think that's a good deal? What size do you buy for the other dogs or would you suggest for Shane?

I've bought the 3.5 oz size and also the 6 oz. for the big dogs.   Look on Amazon as I've found the best prices there.  If you get the 3.5 oz size make sure it's not a package that totals 3.5 oz and contains several pieces.  The deal today looks like two packages with one 3.5 oz piece in each.  Those would be a pretty good size for Shane.

Good for Riley! I work nights and weekends so no TGIF here. I do like my work though so don't feel too sorry for me.Seriously Deb should be my neighbor.Because of hubby's job we have cases of micro-brew beer, wine, hard lemonade and assorted liquor sitting around. We usually dump it out.wash the bottles and recycle them. The guy at the recycle center gives me strange looks sometimes. So is a himalayan chew some kind of Horn?I never heard of those.

Thanks for Riley's update! I'm so glad everything went well. Riley, don't be too mad at your mama.

    Typo edit.

Thanks for the update on Riley, I was wondering about her today.

    That drink looks awesome btw.

Never tried the chews but now I'm curious :)

Abbie has a limp going on in the front. I can't tell which leg she is favoring though because she moves around so stinking much. I think it is her right one. I have a vet appt for her in the morning which will prob include an xray. I hope it is nothing too serious. I have noticed before that she limps when she gets up in the morning then she is fine the rest of the day then starts limping again late at night. Today the limp doesn't seem to be going away. Abbie abbie abbie. The most injury prone dog I have ever had.

I am bidding on some really cute collars on the take your dog to work day auction site. I hope I get them!! The auction doesn't end until 7 tonight though. That's forever away!

I'm glad there's been some relief weather-wise.  I hope cooler temps make their way to those of you still suffering in the heat and humidity.  We're back to grey skies -- it's not even 60 degrees right now.  Supposed to be showery and in the low 60's all weekend.  Bleh.

Johnny, what will you be studying in the fall?  That's very exciting!  I would love to go back to school full-time and study something I truly love (and very different from my current line of work).  If I won a huge lottery, I'd be a professional student (oh, and I'd sponsor a sky-dive for you, Johnny!).

My friend and I saw "The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" last night.  We enjoyed it.  It was fairly predictable, but with such a stellar cast of some of Britain's greatest actors, every scene was a treat.  I've never been to India, but it sure seems intriguing.  So much color, sound, energy in the cities, although I know seeing so much poverty (and all the wandering, starving dogs) would upset me.

Thanks for posting the update about Riley's surgery going well.  I hope her recovery is smooth and she's happy with Mama again very soon!

DH came to pick up Shane after his bike ride and so I can go to the gym and Shane didn't want to leave. I've never had a dog that was so velcro-like as Shane it and although it makes training him a little easier, I want him to be more carefree. Sassy would've gone with anyone and especially if they had food. I wonder if it's somewhat of a male attribute.

My BFF finally got all the bugs worked out for coming out here, so I booked her flight this morning and booked us a 2 night stay up in Lake Tahoe. She's not coming until the end of July but I'm still really excited.

Well out with the old and in with the new.  My Sparkly Clean gal didn't show up yesterday or call.  I didn't hear from her today either.  She's always got some drama going on with abusive boyfriends and all sorts of other personal issues.  I feel sorry for her because she has kids but really if you want to take care of your kids, keep your work and rid yourself of the drama.  I 've hired a new crew that consists of a husband and wife and FIL (he helps when necessary) and hope they work out.  The husband came by today and he passed the first test by liking the dogs. Big Smile

Julie, give Abbie some scritches for me!  Hope it's nothing serious and the xray's are all clear.  Might be time for supplementing her diet??

Cathy, that's just more time for planning (to be crazy)!!!  Wink  Before you know it the end of July will be here.

Tracy, it's a geomatics course I'm taking.  It'll lead into an engineering course if all goes as planned!  Geeked

Gawd, I'm slightly lazy today!  YAWN

    • Gold Top Dog

Johnny, I had to look up "geomatics" -- I'd never heard of that.  Sounds interesting.  Good luck with the course!

Cathy, I envy you being able to have a visit from your friend.  It's been years since my oldest and dearest friend came out here to visit.  You'll have such a good time!

Jackie, there must be something going around with cleaning staff and drama.  For the past couple weeks, we've had a mess going on with cleaning contractors that work at other locations for my employers.  And it has happened before 2 or 3 times with other crews they've had.  Crazy family stuff, like a bad reality TV show.  So frustrating when you have to make alternative arrangements on very short notice.  I hope the new crew works out well for you!

Good for you Johnny. I was thinking about how much I enjoyed taking college courses but I remember feeling like I had a bit of ADD. I'd read a chapter, close the book and think "what the he&& did I just read?" I did okay and really enjoyed most of the courses though. I have no idea what geomatics is but it sounds realllyyyyy hard. Tongue Tied Good luck to you!!

Thanks for posting that for me Karen - for some reason I am not able to sign into idog on my phone.

Riley is doing well and was a trooper.  She was in good spirits until the moment they wheeled her into the operating room.  I was able to be there until they administered the 1st part of the anethesia.  They laid her down and she looked around at all the scanning equipment and was like - GET ME OUTTA HERE.  It went down hill from there with 6 people trying to hold her down while they put the mask on.  Then she fell asleep and I fell apart.  They are so absolutely wonderful there.  There was an aid waiting for me outside the room for the sole purpose to comfort me and get me under control.

When she woke up she was P'EED OFF!!  She tried to rip out her IV and then torn off the bandaids.  They rushed us into recovery and she finally calmed down.

I will tell you this though, there is no way I could ever feel sorry for us while taking a look around that waiting room.  It was so sad and heartbreaking to see all those kids/babies, etc. so sick and knowing that most just by looking would never get better.  There was my baby walking out on her own.  We are so very blessed.

She is playing Sonic the Hedgehog right now and is getting all her favorites for dinner.  My uncle dropped off three bumpy cupcakes that are amazing looking.  She will definitely be spoiled.

Thank you all for all your prayers and thoughts and well wishes.  Thank you U of M for taking care of my baby - Hail to the Victors!

OMG, Lisa, I can't begin to imagine what you were feeling.  I'm so thankful that you were at such a great place and that Riley girl is fine and being spoiled.  She deserves it.
