Are PetSafe wireless receiver collars compatible with PetStop containment fencing?

• Are PetSafe wireless receiver collars compatible with PetStop containment fencing? jmlevy Posted : 6/18/2012 9:58:09 AM My parents just installed a PetStop containment fence underground at their house. They use the system for their 5 year old Golden.  My fiancee and I just adopted a 6 month old Lab/Collie mix. He has been housebroken and has received basic training, but he tends to want to go to the bathroom every five minutes. My parents have suggested purchasing another receiver collar to use on him whenever we are over there to visit.  What I am wondering is whether PetSafe wireless collars are compatible with the PetStop containment system. I have seen a couple of sources that indicate all systems are cross-compatible, but before I purchase anything, I'd like to make sure it will work.  Anyone have any history with these two systems? • JackieG Posted : 6/18/2012 1:14:44 PM I'd contact the manufacturers to ask about the compatibility.  I'm sure you know this but you'll have to do the complete training on your dog before you use the underground fence.  You can't just put the collar on and expect the dog to know why he's getting shocked.   The training usually takes weeks and the dog can't be allowed out unsupervised until training is complete.  0 LIKE Like Share You have posted to a forum that requires a moderator to approve posts before they are publicly available.
