    Thirsty Thursday Chat

Hope everyone has a good day planned.  My nephew's 8th grade graduation is today, and I woke up w/my neck all stiff and strained.  Making me feel nauseous and have some numbness in my hand, so I'm hoping the heating pad releases whatever tension is there.  oye, haven't had one of these episodes in my neck in a while.

Will have to go read yesterday's MC to see what I've missed...  Great day to all!!

Hope your neck feels better Paige!

Today is Riley's last day of school.  It's a little anti-climatic since she'll be returning to preschool next year, but its still a little exciting.  It's hard to believe the school year went by so fast.  I did write the administrators to tell them how happy I was with Riley's progress and how much we love their program.  I figured I owed it to them especially since these are the same administrators I basically threatened at the beginning of the school year.

So super busy this weekend and the weather should be wonderful.

I've been buried by an avalanche of work and can't find my way out. Anybody got a shovel handy?

    Passing Tina a shovel.

    Feel better page.

    Running out the door.....

Sorry about your neck, Paige.  I really hate waking up with that problem and luckily it doesn't happen to me often.

Tina, I could use a shovel but mostly to bury bodies.

Don't trip running out the door, Glenda.  lol  Sorry, couldn't resist.

We're getting a little caught up with work here as our temps have settled down to mid 90's.  Higher than "average" for this time of year but better than 100 F.

I'm going to try and sneak away from the office for a few hours today to go see my cousin.  DH's office is throwing him a going away breakfast.  I was going to try and attend but couldn't because they planned it so early in the day.

Sandie, I hope your dad is doing ok.

    Same here Deb

Vibes and shovels to all that need them

It is another 'April-like' day in June - highs in the 70's, lows in the 50's over the weekend. Loving it!!!

Jackie - Is your husband being moved to a new location? Good thoughts for your cousin.

Paige - If you can tolerate ibuprofen, you should try that. I always helps me with the inflammation and pain. I used to pull the muscle(s) in my neck regularly but rarely do these days. I do remember how it make me feel really ill though.

Fought with DH right before I left this morning. Not my favorite way to start off the day Sad

Feel better Paige. Dropped the car off with the local guy to see what they come up with. Getting lunch in the Farmer's Market, then Luke and Callie are going swimming.

Yes, he's going to work out of a different location.  He's been at one of the AFBases here for the last seven years so he's looking forward to a change of scenery.  The new building is a farther drive but it's brand new and very nice with it's own cafeteria and gym. :)

I drove across town to discover my cousin is in the hospital.  No one at the nursing home seemed to know when she was transported there or which hospital, as they couldn't find her chart. Angry  I spoke to the LVN and the RN for her area but they were clueless.  I went to the office and a woman there told me what hospital she thought she was at.  I'll call one of her sisters and see what they know.  They're not good about keeping me in the loop despite my repeated requests to keep me informed.  We're not fans of each other so that doesn't help.  Maybe they don't know either since this nursing home is pretty pitiful, IMO.

The only good side to the story is I was close to the place that makes the best tamales in SA, so stopped in and picked some up. The hot sauce that comes with them is super hot and addictive.

ETA Forgot to say that I'm sorry your day started with a spat.  Hate that too. (((hugs)))

Cathy i am sorry, DH can be a very brooding character and can spoil my day without having a spat.  I hope the rest of your day goes well

That's why I avoid Mr. W like the plague in the morning.

oh my gosh Jackie - that's scary and disturbing that no one could tell you anything about your cousin. How does that happen??? I'm upset just thinking about it and I hope you can get some information soon.

I LOVE good tamales too - yum!!

I'm wondering what to do about the trng class on Saturday. The forecast is for 103 now and although the class is 11:30 - 1, it'll still be pretty darn hot at that time. The class is in a covered pavillion area and I know the trainer said she uses fans but I just don't know if it'll be enough. I've noticed the last couple days when I walk Shane that he starts hanging back about 1/2 way thru. We don't even walk very far and this is at 9 or 9:30, so it's not that hot. Hmmm...I really want to do this class but I don't want Shane to be miserable. So, better safe than sorry? or give it a try and see how he does?  Hmm

I talked to one of my cousin's sister and was able to speak to my cousin in the hospital.  Not much info on her condition but she sounded pretty good though not happy about being back in the hospital.

I sometimes wish I could avoid my DH in the mornings but he starts talking to me the minute his feet hit the floor in the morning.  It's sort of odd to me since he's much more of a night owl type and you'd think he'd be wanting to wake up a little before he starts jabbering.  Gabby talks back to him so I don't usually have to say much. lol

Karen, I'm so jealous of your weather.  I know you'll be hot there soon enough and are loving this reprieve.

I also avoid DH in the morning - but at 5:00 am that really isn't hard.

Today is dragging on and it literally feels like Friday - tomorrow will be a big slap in the face.
