    Cathy - LOL!

This morning one of the bosses called me about some window decals I ordered. They advertise ice for sale, but showed 1lb as the quantity. I emailed the company, said WTH? The response: they were also available advertising 8lbs. It was totally my mistake. Now I have to call the boss and tell him. I hate it when I do something so stupid and it costs the company money.

I know the feeling Tina. In late December, I ordered graduation tassels for the new year. I opened them up and thought "what? why did I order 2011???" Oops! Fortunately, the company was understanding but I did have to pay the return shipping costs.

I just got an email from our phone company telling me our $92.76 bill is due **before** Thursday (courtesy notice)?

um .... WAIT a second.  How on earth did the phone company get my yahoo address.  Looked further and the email address was 'off' which was why it plopped in my spam .... but ... WTH??

so help me it was gorgeous -- formatted **exactly** the way they do "courtesy notices" (but, wait -- they haven't DONE those in a long time??).

It was a big fat phishing attempt -- but by golly not only would they have scored ALL your bank information you would also have gotten a lovely trojan.  If you look at the properties (right click only) it's all stuff with .eu and .it. and .au extensions.

nasty nasty -- you used to be able to eyeball stuff like that because the grammar would be bad, or it would look hokey.  This looked perfect.  But apparently the one from the phone company (and we don't have a big phone company) used cookies to target me somehow.

So -- just a heads up -- the nasties have gotten nastier.  *sigh*

I'm sure it doesn't happen often.

Even "I" make a mistake every now and then. Big Smile

    Hopefully he'll be understanding.

Callie, yeah they have gotten nasty.  They look completely legit now-a-days.  One of the worst phishing scams I've ever experienced (that I almost got suckered into) was for a job opening.  They went so far as to create a professional looking website, complete with employee profiles.  Their only mistake was there was no possible way THAT building was on that particular road (they picked Main street, but that town's Main street couldn't accommodate a business office building of that type or style lol) - but if someone didn't know the area, they might have fallen for it (it was an attempt to gather your personal information).

I'm so tired.  I had a massive stomach upset last night (fine today) that wrecked my sleeping.  I ended up just getting out of bed at 5:15am and took Ari for a 3 mile walk.  She was happy, but I'm exhausted lol.

Deb, if you don't like super-sweet desserts, you might like to try something I had at a restaurant a couple months ago when grapefruits were in season.  It was a bunch of grapefruit segments layered in a small tart-type dish.  The sugar sprinkled on the top was a coarser type (not standard table sugar), then they torched it the way you would a creme brulee, so the whole top was carmelized.  It was served with a small scoop of grapefruit granita.  It was delicious -- especially refreshing after the big dinner I'd just eaten!

Cathy, sorry about the the two-poop-but-one-bag problem!  Once when my friend and I were walking Ruby, I was so concerned about gathering all our gear (the right leash and treats for her, and Kleenex and housekey for me), that I totally forgot a poop bag.  I realized it when we were way too far from home, so we started looking for stray plastic bags or something lying in the street.  We finally found a large sour cream container that must've blown from someone's garbage bin, so that's what I had to use later in the walk.  It was not a pleasant thing to carry all the way home!

So -- it was 47 friggin' degrees when I got up this morning.  Seriously?  I put the heat on in the house and in my car driving into work.  A few minutes ago it was downpouring.  They call it June Gloom around here, but that phrase doesn't imply just how miserable the weather is.  I'm still in long sleeves and a cardigan, people!  Indifferent

I just talked to him. His response: why would they even offer a 1lb choice? Who buys a 1lb bag of ice? We'll manage.

The last time I did something really big and stupid was the time I ordered about 50 Food Safety books in Spanish instead of English. Our employees needed them for a class, so not only did I have to return the Spanish books and pay a restocking fee, I had to have the English version sent 2nd Day Air because the class was less than a week away and I couldn't reschedule it. Talk about a cluster. Nobody wanted a crash course in Spanish - I don't know why not. Surprise

I never worried about it with Sassy cause she always pooped at home before we left but one time she pooped right in the middle of the sidewalk. I had to use a giant leaf to at least scoop it and toss it into the bushes.

I could tell Shane really had to go because he's usually a good walker but was pulling a little. We walk into this parking lot and I see this guy sitting in his courier truck with the engine running. About that time, I notice Shane has stopped walking and is pooping right in the middle of the parking lot. Especially because the guy was watching, I was glad I had a bag but then we walked about 20 more feet and Shane squatted and pooped again. Both times were respectable poops, so I don't know how this boy does it. Fortunately, it was out of sight of the guy in the truck and over in some clippings. When I take him for his afternoon walk, I'll pick it up.

Tina - I was thinking the same thing about a 1 lb bag of ice. Who buys that?

Okay, so my sister just messaged me on Facebook and told me to call her if I get the message, because it's super important. I called her two minutes later, she didn't answer, and she isn't replying on Facebook, and didn't reply to a text. She should know this annoys the crap out of me damnit!

LOL Shane!!! Bugsy never pooped on walks until after his knee surgery, at some point after that he decided pooping on walks was wonderful so now I have one of those bag carriers.  I much preferred when he didn't poop on walks

Jen I hope all is OK.

I saw a cute dress at Target earlier but it was only in S or XL. I need stuff like that for my step daughter's wedding in Cancun so I guess later on I should go to another Target. Bah humbug

Apparently it wasn't as much of a crisis as I interpreted. You think by now my sister would know that I would interpret this as being a horrible crisis.

Luke is going to weight pulling class starting in a few weeks. He'll probably be confused when he gets there, and it's not Flyball, but it's with the instructor for Flyball.
