Mindless Wednesday

My brain is also rebelling against being awake.  Gosh, it was soooo nice to wake up last night feeling chilly instead of way too hot.  Today is still going to be plenty warm but tomorow, in the 60's!

I clearly was grinding my teeth in my sleep last night  I need to get a new grinding plate thing, but like your eye exam Julie - its not covered, despite the thousands I pay in premiums.

Buddy was a total brat this morning and would not swallow his Enalapril. It took me 4 tries to succeed.

I have a slight headache and nausea. I hate pms.

The humidity is supposed to break tonight.  My sinuses could sure use a rest as could my pounding head.

I woke up from a dream and was thinking WTH made me dream that. lol  I dreamt we installed a new furnace.  We installed it right in the middle of the backyard.  In my dream, the only thing I thought was wrong with that plan was that Rex and Twister would pee on it. 

This morning Rex and Belle were outside.  I was reading a book and it was at a very sad part where the beloved dog had to be put down.  I was sitting there crying when Rex started frantically scratching at the sliding glass door to be let inside.  I got up and lo and behold if Belle hadn't taken one of my potted patio flowers off a table and flung dirt everywhere. She was happily shredding the plant.  Rex was like "not me, she did it!" 

Tina, sorry you're feeling all pmsy.  Hope you got some chocolate.

DH snored aaaallllllllllllllllllllllllll night long and I hardly slept.  

Jackie -- David and I have both been having weirdo dreams. 

David got a new "cigar box guitar" (kinda sorta -- this one is just hand made), so he dreamed his Dad (gone for years) told him about this NEW musical sewing machine he had just gotten!!

My response?  "Oh ... so must be it's a SINGER???"

It was late, and I cracked myself up so bad I almost woke myself up!  Singer isn't a UK brand so that was lost on David. 

Jackie -- you didn't know it, but that plant was just like that one in Little Shop of Horrors and she just saved you a fate worse than death!  (hey, I just tell em like the dogs would!! LOL)

NOW I **gotta** get back to work.

David got a new "cigar box guitar" (kinda sorta -- this one is just hand made), so he dreamed his Dad (gone for years) told him about this NEW musical sewing machine he had just gotten!!

Funny.  We have a cigar box guitar hanging above our fireplace on the nails that once held the shotgun that lived there back in the 1800s.  (Understanding this is an old New England farmhouse built in 1790 for an old sea captain with beams made of wood from the old ship.)  It's kinda funny, because this is a musical house with instruments & audio equipment all over the place.

Cora took a turn for the worse this weekend.  She went to the vet yesterday who confirmed she has a fever, likely infection induced, and appears she did re-injure her neck.  But chest x-rays show her lesions on her lungs have shrunk considerably from the chemo treatment.  But she has to come off the prednisone for the antibiotics to work on the infection.  Her owner is terrified that she will be better from the cancer, but die from this infection.  Temperature was coming down, but last call last night was it was slightly elevated again up to 104.

I'm watching Gracie right now b/c she felt a little warm this morning before I left for work, so I'm going to ask my friend to take her temperature if she still looks weird.  If she has the same infection, she will need treatment, too.  One of the other dogs also had diarrhea for one day, but his white blood cell count is undoubtedly fine and thus he probably kicked whatever infection *might* have gotten to him, too.  So scary and frustrating.

Alright, need more coffee....  Hope everyone has a good day and the unwanted rain goes to the folks who want it!

OH!  Happy Birthday Karen!!  Lisa, is it also your birthday??  Today is my sister and my uncle's birthdays, too!

LOL Jackie - I loved your dream and your start to the morning. I don't know if I'd mentioned it but Shane doesn't lift his leg when he pees. I'm not sure that was newsworthy to anyone but it's been a huge blessing to me. He just stops mid-stride and stretches a little bit when he pees. You almost can't tell he's doing anything. Our male lab, Jake, lifted and marked on everything, including our AC unit.

I have a truckload of work to get done and the only thing that's going to make my stress level go down is having it all done by the end of the day.

I'm not sure why but I've lost about 5 lbs in the last several weeks. I wasn't trying and can't think of anything that's changed to cause it, other than that I'm a little more active now that we have Shane. It's not like I run with him though, so it just seems strange.

We're supposed to be in the low 90s today. That's going to feel blistering hot after the coolish days we've had so far.

why?  Dogs with IMHA take pred and all sorts of immune-suppressors and then have to take antibiotics all the time!!  That honestly shouldn't be -- she can take pred with many antibiotics.
