Thursday Chattering

    Thursday Chattering

I had what seemed to be all night dreams about my upcoming trip to Houston.  The mind is a curious thing. lol  I was so glad to wake up and realize I hadn't misplaced my new truck and that I didn't have to lug around a bar b q grill at the seminar. Stick out tongue

We've got some big rain headed our way if the weather reports can be believed.  I sure hope I don't have to drive to Houston in the pouring rain.

My cousin has been moved out of intensive care.  :)  She's still facing a lot of health problems but at least it's one step closer to getting out of the hospital.  She sounded kind of down in the dumps last night.  I spoke to her daughter too and we agreed that we'd have a big party for her when she gets to go home.

What a dream Jackie!  A few nights ago I had one about being in my dead sisters house with all the dogs and HER.  She died in 1995.  And I rarely remember a dream so that one was just freaky.

Fingers crossed that the rain holds off until after your trip.  It's gray and dreary here again and I'm just soooo ready for some sunshine.  Supposedly we'll have a bit this weekend. In the meantime, wow, is it every sticky.

My finicky cats, who went on a hunger strike when I got them the wrong flavor of TOTW have had no issues with being back on Blue.  They come literally FLYING across the room when it's feeding time.  Guess I wasted energy worrying about them and having to change food!  With the dogs I had noticed the last few weeks that their piles were getting enormous.....so something in the 4Health had changed and was responsible for that....just a few days on Blue and I already see a remarkable difference in size.  Lovely discussion for morning coffee!!

I'm wondering if one of the managers at Tractor had some second thots about the "crazy" lady who said she wouldn't feed anything made by Diamond because of their history.  He kept trying to convince me that both 4Health and TOTW were perfectly safe....later that same day the recall expanded!   It's a darned shame when you can predict something like that based on the prior (less than responsible) behavior of a company.

OK, off to get ready to start my day.  Have a good one all.

Holy headache batman. I have a meeting this morning too that won't be fun. Guess I need to dig out some asprin or something.

My gma is in the hospital with pneumonia again :( she has congestive heart failure so pneumonia is pretty serious. I might go try to see her tonight or tomorrow.

Prayers for your gma Julie, and "go away headache" vibes for you.

I'm feeling about 80% better today, thankfully. I went to bed at 7:30p last night.

Our water cooler here at work isn't cooling the water, but can't be serviced until tomorrow. Considering I slept with my mouth open all night, some cold water would be a relief. Must go buy some ice, I guess.

That's great news about your cousin, Jackie! Big Smile

lol Jackie!! What a relief, eh? hehe

Glenda, you should have a talk with Amanda about Tractor Supply.

Sorry about the headache and your gma, Julie. Prayers and Rupey nuzzles are on the way.

Nothing exciting to report here today. Sleep

Whew Jackie that would have been a real hassle lugging that BBQ around!

Julie wishing the best for your grandma and hoping your headache subsides

Joyce I wish you lived nearby I believe I would enjoy hanging out with you Big Smile

It is stupendously gorgeous out - the storms that have been coming in and out since Saturday are gone for a while - my plants have been hammered by them so I will need to do something in the garden today.

My plantar fasciitis is still excruciating  - I have times of relief but then it comes screaming back and I do mean screaming. Anyway I couldn't imagine a run or walk with the nutter so I took him to the fields for some 'dummy' work. All I will say is he really is a character Stick out tongue Sometimes I can really see the aging and other times he is still the mischievous pup that nearly drove us to the brink LOL

I have much to do but what I'd like to do is go kayaking,,,,,,,,,,,anyone want to join me?

10 yr old Kit is still MIA, in spite of 1200 people out looking for him.  This is day 3, and it got fairly chilly last night.  They are considering scaling back the search later in the day...I think maybe to get some of the volunteers out of the way.

I'd be pretty dangerous in a kayak probably but I'd love to do it again. :)  Actually we used to have one when we lived near the Medina River.  I never turned it over but came close a few times. My brother went way up river late one afternoon in it and by dark he still wasn't back.  We got pretty worried about him but had no way to try and search as the river in that area is pretty inaccessible except by kayak and canoe.  He said his biggest worry was knowing if he was going to pass up where we were waiting for him and just keep going miles past us.  We already had that covered and had our flashlights waving and were shouting his name.  He got back safe and sound and decided leaving that late in the day might not have been a good idea.

Good thoughts and vibes for your grandma Julie.  I hope your headache goes away.

Glenda, I'm glad the kitties didn't go on a hunger strike over the new food.

Tina, I hate sleeping with my mouth open.  Cotton mouth is not fun.

The first round of rain is just starting. I've got errands to run this morning but will check the radar and see if a break is coming soon.  I am a wuss about driving in the rain.

I'm sorry to hear Kit is still missing. I hope they find him soon.

Jackie - LOL at your dream but yay for the good news on your cousin.

Julie - I'm sorry that your g'ma is sick again and hope you get a chance to visit her.

Shane was restless last night and DH hadn't slept much the night before, so I took Shane to the extra bedroom and we slept in there. I think it was just a tad too warm for him, so he slept off and on but not like he usually does. After his full fun day at the office, I expected him to be passed out all night.

We leave for my brother's later this morning. I'm really excited to see everyone and to just get away for bit. We'll be back tomorrow evening and Shane will be staying out at HB but in the owner's house. I'm sure he'll do fine.

Oh Marty I was hoping he was home safe and sound by now - so sad. Praying they find him soon!

Jackie I forgot ...........what great news about your cousin!!!

Hope the rain stops for your drive

Cathy have a fun trip and Shane I bet you sleep all day now!  When I read how nicely he slept on the bed I was a bit envious. B rarely even sleeps in the same room as us - his choice. He used to but for the last few months he's been in his crate again which is down the hall. I miss his rhythmic breathing nearby Sad  He would never sleep in our bed when he wants to go to sleep he wants peace LOL Besides he is totally not a touchy - feel-y dog. He doesn't even like to be pet, his version of love seems to be tug Indifferent

Update...Kit has been found alive and well.  He was hiding in an abandoned house not far from the school and command station.  There are no answers as to why he did this yet or if we will ever be told.  He is at the police station now, being checked out and questioned.  I'd want to whip his butt if I were his parents, but I think I'd be so relieved to have him back, I wouldn't be able to do it.  I do know he'd be grounded till adulthood sometime and under constant supervision...

    • Gold Top Dog

That's great news that he has been found and is ok. I hope he understands the magnitude of the situation!

Karen, there have been numerous times where I wished I lived next door to Joyce. Big Smile

Karen, I'd love to go kayaking with you.  I keep eying my kayak longingly.

Today has been crazy and it's not yet noon.  Yeesh, I'm finally catching my breath.

Yesterday I got a manicure and pedicure for the first time IN MY LIFE (and I'm 30 lol).  I have "issues" with people touching my feet lol, but it wasn't bad.  I don't really have any nails per say (I'm a nail biter) but I'm hoping the polish will keep me from biting them.  I'm trying to break the habit.

Well my tv of nearly 5 years decided that it's not gonna work anymore I don't have money for a new one. Wonder if I could sell it broken? When it rains it pours :(. Daisy cracks me up I notice if the water isn't all the way filled up she won't drink it she won't dare reach down just a little to get water.
