Everyone wants something different with their hair. Mine is thick and wavy and so when it's out of control, it's crazy town.
True AND True! Before I discovered smoothing/straigtening products and tools, my hair tended towards the "Roseanne Rosanneadanna" look. I eventually accepted my coarse, thick, wavy hair and have learned to help it behave better, but I still prefer a smooth, straight look, so I can't part with my flatiron most days!
I wore my hair super-short for a couple years back in the late 90's. It was so easy (I could sleep in on weekdays!), but I felt naked. I don't like my facial features enough to have them so exposed. But I love that pixie cut on other people. It's adorable!
I hope they find the boy who disappeared from school. It's not good that he was still missing this morning. You'd think by now he'd be hungry or cold and would go somewhere if he wasn't being held against his will. So scary.
Glenda, I've heard people say what Mike said about gay marriage, and it makes me chuckle. I look at that issue in a practical way --- if people have a committed relationship (regardless of their genders), call it a marriage or whatever you want to call it. But, they should all have the same legal rights when it comes to things like making emergency medical decisions on behalf of one another, and other laws and such related to property ownership, taxes, etc. Aren't some of the tax benefits given to married couples because the assumption is they're raising families and should get tax breaks to help with their extra expenses? If that's so, then what about married couples like me and my husband? We knew we wouldn't have children before we got married, so why should we get those breaks? We're not raising a family. Aren't we like other long-term couples (of whatever gender) who share a household on a committed basis? I go back to everyone having the SAME rights. Not special rights, just the same as everyone else. And the consent thing is key, as others posted.
Jen - I like your new signature! It reminds me of the stories I've shared about my neighbor, aka "Pajama Man."
