    super cool!

How many people know what EWR is  though? Just curious, because I saw it, then I had to think for a minute before I realized what that stands for.

Sorry - I just always assume everybody knows all the US Airport Codes since they're so ingrained in my head.

EWR = Newark Liberty International Airport

JFK = John F. Kennedy International Airport

No fair, now you told them. EWR= the one I don't want to go to. I've only been there once in my life though, so maybe it isn't horrible anymore.

Very cool pics Deb and I'd have never guessed what the EWR stood for.

Julie - did I miss something? Are you going to Portland?

Gorgeous day here and for the next several days. I'm super excited to have another nice weekend and hopefully not quite as hot. I'm working with the trainer at Homeward Bound again on Sunday and I've asked to work with Owen and/or Hannah. They're both youngish, rowdy dogs but I might be interested in adopting either one of them, so it'd be fun to work with them.

I'm maxed out on vacation days, so I'm using one on Monday and looking forward to a 3 day weekend. Now that the weather is nice, I may start taking a few 3 day weekends every month. Big Smile

Cool pics Deb! Airforce 1 was at RDU earlier this week - and there were great pics on all the news sites. One of my friends works at a place that is near the airport AND overlooks the interstate so has a perfect view of the plane and then the motorcade when it went to UNC.

I finally took B for a hike with a local group, I've wanted to do it for ages but was worried about how we'd be perceived when he raced to the front. I thought we might be able to walk, nope. He raced to the front and I had to wait at several junctions for the others to get back in sight.  After it was over the person that organizes the group, said "wow with you in front we could do a much longer hike in the same time period" Embarrassed

    much to do

So cool, Deb!  Gee, when I look out my office window, all I see are people waiting at the bus transfer area.  Actually, there have been some odd activities and sights over there that might have made for some interesting photos -- but nothing as awesome as Deb's pics!

Glenda, glad you're getting your car back!  When I've been without mine due to lengthy repairs, I feel lost.  It's frustrating to be dependent on others for rides.  Speaking of cars and driving, good thing you noticed that error with your ticket record, Paige -- easier to get it corrected now, rather than later.

Jackie, I'm with you about staying off the roads at night with Fiesta going on, based on those DUI statistics.   It almost sounds like a good idea to avoid the roads in the daytime, too!

Tina, the impromptu game date sounds like fun.  I often find that last-minute plans end up being the most enjoyable, because you've got no expectations.  I'm not one to be very spontaneous, but when something like that comes along, I try to take advantage of the opportunity since it usually ends up turning out well.

Looking forward to a quiet night tonight.  Tomorrow we're going to the BrewFest at Oregon Garden with Leslie (tashakota) and her husband.  I'm not a beer drinker, but it's a beautiful location and weather is supposed to be nice, so it'll be a fun day!  Probably some yardwork on Sunday.

I'm thinking it might be time to take the Easter baskets and the pink bunny ears off the 5' tall Santa in the living room and stow him away in the closet for awhile. Tongue Tied

Paige, I'm with you on the coffee creamer!  Love it!  I usually try to at least have a large French Vanilla on hand because that one is good in tea and hot chocolate too.

Maybe I can get some larger holes drilled in the bottoms of my plant pots this weekend, then I think a trip to Home Depot for soil and bark will be in order.  Have a great weekend, everyone!

Cathy, yes - leaving Sunday. Trying to determine what to do on my off time. Maybe some whale watching and the redwood NP in  northern CA. Looks like it is too early to hit Crater Lake or the northern NP's. They have a lot of roads closed due to snow and snow melt

Deb, those are SUPER COOL pictures!!!!!!

I just finished an enormous project at work.  I think I shall celebrate by drinking my weight in margaritas tonight.  Yes, yes I will.
