I did a horrible job making coffee this morning. Nothing like drinking sugar. Blech.

Tgif even if it is 4 degrees out. We moved from FL to Alaska.

Julie, it's only 1 degree here. I don't know how the local running club can be out there. I guess one would warm up running, but trying to jog on icy streets is not my idea of fun.

Thinking of Janobonano's nephew and family.

My washing machine was good for 2 loads last night. Will hope it continues.

We got a bit of snow overnight. Pretty and manageable. I need to do some shoveling for my parents, then work. I might go look at cars this weekend.

Not got much today - OK I know I rarely do LOL

Mom's visit feels like we are closing in on her leaving (Tuesday). I am trying to help her to see that she might benefit from seeing a gerontologist, I am a bit concerned that cognitively all is not 100%. I suppose it could be because her hearing is definitely not top notch but nevertheless it worries me.

Not sure what I'll do with her today - as per usual I have a long list to accomplish but I also feel like I will need to do something with her.

Some years back, in MN, we had a jogger get into trouble. He read the temp, decided it was warm enough to jog in shorts and a tee shirt. He missed the lecture on wind chill. He actually frost bit his body. Not his cheeks, or nose, or fingers. His body. He did survive, but I imagine he hurt for a while, even after they let him out of the hospital. I mention windchill because the windchill season is starting. Predictions of -40F windchill, 4 to 6 inches of snow, with accumulations of car fenders and bumpers at intersections.

I might have to use the snow blower tonight.(be still, my heart)

Have a good day. I have to go out on the tundra and do some work today.

Combine cream soda with butterscotch schnapps in a glass; add ice cubes.
