UKPoodle, I feel your pain!  Gypsy (my Am Staff) has a very, very short coat, so no gentialia can be hidden by it.  I STILL get people asking about 'HIM".  HIM?  She has on a girly "bling" collar of red leather with purple and red crystals and obviously has NO penis, so I would assume "he" is a SHE, dammit! Don't you know ALL Poodles are girls and all "muscle" dogs are boys?  ROFLLLLL

Sally gets called a boy ALL the time.  Her collar right now is not very girly--just plain leather, but the next one will be...

It seems that everyone, except for the Pit Bull owners, owns a Pit Bull, LOL.

I haven't had anyone mistake Teenie yet. Everybody knows that she's a Weenie Dog, Weiner Dog, Hot Dog, Dash Hound (I have NO idea where that one came from), Dachshund, or Doxie......LOL

Gizzy has gotten called a pit a few times but when I correct and say she's border collie they just say "she doen't look like a collie, I thought they were orange with long fur" I guess they only know collies as the kind lassie was. They keep on insisting she's not a collie.

Then when I don't have Giz with me and I start to talk about her to someone I mention she is a border collie and they just say "like Lassie?" Urrr... BCs are one of the most popular breeds how can so many people not know what a BORDER collie is?

What I even find funnier is at work people call their own dogs some other name. Like most pit bull owner will spell it PET BULL on the sign in sheet and any small dog is a poodle or chiw. no matter what anyone else tells them, any large dog is a German Shepard. Seems like they think there are only three choices and thats how they decide on their own. When the vet tells them something differnt they are like "huh? what is that?"

No, no, Teenie is a DATSUN!.  I kid you not, I once saw an ad for Datsun puppies! Hmmm...were they purebred or did a Dodge get into the garage?[sm=lol.gif][sm=rotfl.gif][sm=uhoh.gif]

I've never had too many bad ones, but my Pembroke Corgi has been called a German Shepherd, and my Lab mix has been called a Pit bull.

People always ask me what kind of dogs I own because of their unusual color. They are obviously poodles but I say they are a miniature Irish Setter-Poo and a miniature Gordon Setter-Poo. People will believe anything!

Oh, thanks for clarifying.  At least he has the long nose so nobody will confuse him with something else.
