yay for the car! There was just an article in Consumers Reports that talked about making sure you don't pay invoice price. You're supposed to find out what the dealer actually paid (which isn't the invoice price) then go up from there. I always used my Uncles family discount so don't have to haggle but still. Stress! I'm glad you are getting a great price.

the weather here is pretty sucky. We're on standby for whether or not we all have to work from home tomorrow. I'm working from home tomorrow regardless (my normal telework day), but everyone else is anxious to not have to drive in bad conditions. Have I mentioned that I love this job? How awesome is it that we have the option to NOT drive in nasty weather and work from home instead? *happy*

Oh and I found someone to clean my gutters for $35! wohoo. I was expecting to have to pay $100+. He's going to give me an estimate for taking down my humungous deader than a doornail tree too. Would be nice to get that hazard out of my back yard. It's an inch away from coming crashing down.

I'm envious of 60s and sunny weather.

I ate a gluttonous-sized piece of pumpkin pie after lunch today and now I feel kinda Ick!y.

Party!!! I'm a happy camper!  Just spent four hours immersed in on line computer courses for next tax season!  I completed absolutely everything listed in my learning plan that was actually there.  Some stuff says "coming soon" which is kind of aggravating since they want all the training done by 12-16.....not an issue for me, but might be for others.

Tina, as others posted, thankfully your cats didn't get out and no unwelcome visitors came in

It is pretty amazing, even though this isn't a very small town.

Last week on Wednesday, a friend of DS's dropped him off and unbeknownst to everyone, her purse was knocked out of her car and into our driveway.  Thanksgiving day, I left to go to the shelter and saw the lump in the driveway, but couldn't tell what it was so I thought "I'll get in when I come home."  Fortunately it was still there 3 hours later, untouched.  This was after it had already been laying there since 10:00p the night before.  What are the odds?

Do you live somewhere with high foot traffic and close houses?  If so, that's super surprising.  I bet on our sleepy cul de sac with no sidewalks that I could leave my purse outside for a while and it would still be there.... although I won't bother trying that.

Cheap dealer cant get the car we want - bummer - but expensive dealer has become cheap dealer and thinks they can get a car in a couple days.  Good thing we knew what we want and started early, baby might be here by the time we get something!

I do have to say though -- each time I call any dealer and say another dealer (not named specifically) gave me such and such price, they believe it.  Not one of them will let me leave with any real paperwork other than my handwritten notes.  I seriously think I could have totally made up prices and been just where I am at now.  We're currently about $1800 below  "invoice" but $900 is rebates so maybe $900 better than Costco program price.
