At least you can give us good reviews of stuff though, right?

Yes, and I can tell you a rep from SmartWool told me the apparel coming out next year is going to be AWESOME!!  :)  I haven't seen it yet, tho.

I feel like I'm wear-testing a bra that's too small today, too, btw... *sigh*

dumb -- I forgot to bring the bread for my sandwich for lunch -- >me< = brain-dead!

Callie, today is as good as any to go low carb.  LOL

the bread is the best part!  Bummer.

I've had a lot of trouble going in-store with t-mobile for phone issues.... because their people are sales people and I find they can't troubleshoot for beans without making you do an entire wipe of your phone.  Supposedly they are working to get in-store tech people like verizon but I'll believe it when I see it.  Not sure if we will stay with them after our contract is up, but we were with verizon for 8 years and left them for tmobile. Not too many other choices.

Nicole, my mother may switch carriers when her T-mobile contract is up.  She's had many service and coverage issues with them, and during the lengthy power and landline outages in CT a couple weeks ago, she could NOT get a signal.  She had to use her neighbor's cell phone (Verizon) to call me to let me know she was okay.  Almost always, when she does call me on it, the quality of the connection is terrible -- I usually end up calling her back on her landline so I can hear her.

We're having the opposite bread/sandwich issue in our office today.  I brought leftover pulled pork DH made over the weekend, and there's enough to share with my co-worker.  She's going to the store to get rolls so she can make a sandwich.  I've been eating it with a fork right off a plate -- nothing added but some more BBQ sauce.  I wasn't missing a roll, but if she's willing to buy them, I'll eat one!  Stick out tongue

Paige, it's good you can "tweak" the shoes so they can be wearable once you keep them.  Hopefully the test pairs that fit well outnumber the ones that don't.  Years ago, my friend's wife was a buyer for a large department store, and she would have sample clothes at the end of the season to get rid of.  Some were in my size, so I scored a few awesome designer things, and she charged me peanuts for them.  I was bummed when she left that job!

I'm not thrilled with them, but the android phones have something called wifi calling so I can use my home network or work wifi to make a call.  So that's not too bad... and they are cheaper.  I like having a SIM card so I can switch phones if need be without having to get one from verizon itself and/or pay the fee to activate.  But, it's not ideal.  I'm just disgusted at how much we pay for basic cell services though and how essentially all phones now are smartphones = tons of money.  I'm cheap, what can I say?

Mmmm pulled pork sounds amazing!  I don't like BBQ sauce too much (too sweet) but this place by use just has a sort of juice... au ju (sp?) type of thing... and boy is it yummy!

I was following right along till someone had to go say BRA!  Lost track of all my thoughts!!!

    Is it 2012 yet?

I dont seem to have the coverage problems you all are having...actually, I have awesome reception and internet speed everywhere I go. Every person that has talked to me at the store has been wonderful and have gone over and beyond to help me. My phone bill is only $32 a month for 400 min, unlim text and unlim web. I got a hell of a deal, I'll admit.

Its the Samsung phone I have. Its a terrible phone (1st on the market) and its the last Samsung I ever get. I should have waited until they came out with the Galaxy, instead I wanted to have one sooo badly, I got it when it was still the Vibrant. Last mistake Ill ever make about getting one before they've worked the quirks out.

Me too!  It's one of the reasons I (gasp!) don't have a cell phone.  I don't want to add $40+ a month to my expenses when all I need is something for (get this) making phone calls (and rarely at that)!  I don't care about checking email or internet from a phone.  For one thing, my middle-aged eyes are failing . . . I cannot imagine reading on that tiny screen.  Yikes!

The pulled pork on the roll was very tasty!  DH made the pork on his Big Green Egg (it's a weird grill/smoker thing).  It slow-cooked for about 19 hours.  My co-worker and one of my bosses gave it a thumbs-up, too.  Sure beats the lunch of almonds and a pear I might have had!

Edit:  Cathy, you posted while I was composing my post.  What a sweet photo of the children with their new baby sister!  A very special little girl for a very special family!

Sometimes I forget about Owen's injury and then I remember that someone had to place his arms where they are and I feel sad. They're such a strong family though that have been able to rise above so many challenges. I'm constantly in awe of them and so thankful for all the friends and family they've had to support them.

I love pulled pork and I'm betting that cooking it that long made it melt-in-your-mouth yummy!!

DS #1 and the little peanut seem to be ailing with something, so I got a call  this a.m. to run an errand of mercy ... went to the grocery store for milk, OJ, toothpaste and laundry detergent and drove 16 miles to deliver it to him.  Otherwise he would have had to put a sickish baby in a stroller and walk to the nearest store, which isn't any too close. DS #2 (who has Mondays off) decided to ride along so I sprang for lunch at Caffe Italia where they have one of my favorite things - a fresh mozzarella and sliced tomato plate with garlic bread and pesto vinegairette.  I could live on that.

Last night on the news they said that the "Occupy Sacramento" group was coming into Davis today to "Occupy" with the students.  I'll have to remember to try to catch the news at 4 p.m. and see what's going on. I notice the UCD police chief has  been put on administrative leave, as well she should be, along with a few others including the chancellor.

This whole occupy *fill in the blank* thing bugs the heck out of me. What do they want? I don't think there are many people who are happy with govt, wall street, etc. but what exactly are they hoping to accomplish? When people protested Vietnam, there was a clear message. End the war. I just don't see where this is going. I see that at the UC Davis campus today they're calling for ALL police to be pulled off the campus. Really? If I had a kid there and that happened, I'd be pulling my kid off the campus. I don't have any answers other than anywhere where there's a "no camping" ordinance should be hot on it before they set up tent cities and not wait until a large crowd had claimed it. I don't understand how that keeps happening everywhere.....sorry, rambling now....

    What a cute photo!

Paige, i looove smartwool. In fact, im wearing a smartwool shirt today! (Wore it to work since my office is roughly 30 degrees F.

Ok my dogs are out of control! That or i just have no tolerance today for wrestling in the house.

I get to start teleworking next week. Wohoo! I can stay home once a week and work in my pjs. Looking forward to that! I also finally got signature authority. So now i can sign stuff and not have to have my supervisor sign off too. Yay.

I need to start hitting the light box.

Its official, i have some sort of cold or laryngitis or something. I feel lousy but I've felt worse so its hard to justify staying home from work. I just don't have much of a voice.
