Baby is a genius already ;)

Glad to read some good news this morning - congrats!! Big Smile

(((Karen and Glenda))) I think we need more than one 2x4 today.

DH buys all the time on EBay and I've now gotten to the point where I check there when I'm looking for anything. I don't know a thing about echecks but I wouldn't ship until it clears unless you can find out more from Ebay.

Dropped off my IS 350 this morning to get the permaplate reapplied and now it'll be all spiffy to sale. I hate selling cars though and hope it sells fast. DH has agreed that it's best for him to deal with any questions and test drives. Whew!

The only thing that comes to mind is poutine.

What the heck is that? Hmm

Karen....this is why my hubby is not allowed in that room.   I have always been the one to change hoses, clean the screens etc. I always tell him "This is NOT your room" :)

Very cold in NWA.  Still waiting for the next electric company visit.  They will be here on Mon. I hope they can isolate my problem then I just need to start shopping for a heat pump.  I tried to win some lotto money on 11-11-11 at 11:11:13 o'clock.  I dont usually spend my money on that but thought if I hit that specific time frame it would have to be lucky and I could pay for a heat pump....it wasnt lucky Stick out tongue

Hope everyone has a good day!  Tina, sorry you are having to use the 2x4 so early in the day.

He said he had nothing to write with.  Surprise   How many women would ever be in that position? lol   He did find the place in his Garmin so they'll find it if the truck can make it that far.  Oh and he said both of them had low batteries on their cell phones and neither had their car chargers with them.

I just can't resist...this is why doG created women :-)

I love the Lemon exacta--Deb, I hope you win big!  I'm sure there's a drink appropriate for the race...an old one that comes to mind is a can of frozen lemonade, the can filled with vodka, and ice all into the blender. I think those are all the ingredients, but I could be wrong.

Hugs for all who had a crummy start to their days. I hope things improve! (Glenda, I, too, would be fuming if someone "forgot" to stop by to get me to go to work or whatever.)

    Edit--wrote the wrong name

LOL he went in there and opened up the machine telling me it was done. I nearly ripped his head off when I asked if the machine had decided it was done! Its all good I am happy to say it seems good and the laundry pile is moving along.

Poutine is french fries, cheese curds and gravy I believe

eta Jackie I am sorry that is kind of funny about those guys.  I can picture them all excited when leaving for the trip and as you say having all sorts of gear with them but forgetting basics like the car chargers LOL (welcome to the 'new' basics Wink )

YUMMY!  That sounds really carb-o-licious :)  Some days I really have to have a carb fix!  So Johnny when's dinner ready?

I always tell him "This is NOT your room" :)

This was a quote from one of my favorite doggy movies.  I must have seen Tom Hanks take Hooch thru the house telling him "this is not your room"  at least a thousand time Wink

Jan - I sell on ebay alot and DO NOT ship until that echeck clears.

Yes, it is an excellent place to find maternity clothes.  I sold most of mine on there after Riley since I knew they were done and bought a lot on there too.  You can find some really good deals since most weren't worn for that long.  Also check baby resale shops (we have a ton here) they usually have a maternity section.  I just couldn't stomach paying $50 for a pair of jeans that I KNEW I would only wear for a few months.  I was able to get the same pair at a resale shop for only $6!!!

Feeling really anxious today.  I think its because Riley has had a couple of bad days at school.  She actually got sent to Time Out yesterday.  I think she is getting more comfortable and testing her boundries, but it is so nerve racking at the end of the day to here that she was acting up.  Teacher is super nice, etc. but it's still heart breaking.  She thinks Riley is picking up some bad behaviors from some of the other students but it doesn't make me feel better.  Plus, it's hard to communicate with her so we are practicing sharing.  SIGH.

The limping home hunters made it to a dealer but the dealer can't get to if for four days. :(  That's not an option as I won't be here on Monday and closing the office isn't an option.  They're going to try and make it home.  They'll be going through areas with zero phone coverage so the lack of a batter charger may not be an issue. lol  I'm trying not to get too stressed over the office situation but not having much luck. I guess I could get one of the techs to answer the phone.  Cross training is always a good idea, right? :)

Karen, I'm glad the washer is doing it's thing.  LOL at your DH and the hose story.

The idea of fries with gravy is not appealing to me but I like both of them so I might be surprised.  I don't think I've ever seen them offered anywhere around here though.

We were going to order a pie from a fantastic little pie shop here but we waited too late.  When I called this morning I got a recording saying they are up to their elbows in flour and aren't taking any new orders. lol  They're a small operation and each pie is made one at a time with fresh ingredients and I'm sure they'll be baking long into the night to fill the existing orders.  Maybe I can go by and offer to help out. :)  I wouldn't eat anything, of course. lol  I guess I'll have to make my own but I've gotten lazy about baking lately and love not having to clean up the mess.

Glenda, that's really the pits about not being picked up.  When DS #2 was born the doc told me I couldn't drive because I had a c-section, so I got #1 incorporated into a car pool.  First day, they forgot him. I had to put #2 in a sling and #1 in the bike baby set and bike him to school.  I figured if I could bike over that overpass with two kids in tow, I could dang well drive.  So I did.

Good luck with the ramp, Cathy.  Years ago when I traded out the waterbed for a conventional one, the old arthritic dog I had could no longer jump up on the bed because waterbeds are much lower.  I bought him a rather pricey ramp out of some catalog and the little bugger consistently refused to use it and decided he'd rather sleep on the floor. I wound up giving the ramp to someone else.

Nicole, if there are any stores near you that carry gently used baby items, check there for maternity clothes.  Sometimes those stores carry items for mom and  baby.

It's mostly a Canadian thing and girlfriend, you are a long way from Canada!

Wow Joyce *clapping* - that's truly one of those stories you'll want to share when your kids or grandkids whine about how tough life is.

I love fries and I live gravy too but I like my fries crispy, so putting gravy on them sounds yucky to me.

My neck and shoulders are killing me. It could be from the workout yesterday but it's more likely due to feeling so stressed this week. I swear sometimes I find myself so tensed up you could snap me in half  I'm fantasizing about a nice massage right now.

Tina:  I went to bet and Lemons to Lemonade scratched so the woman teller asks me if I want to wheel Lemon Drop on Top and I said I have no idea what that is, but it sounds good !!  Then she explained the whole bet to me.  I had to tell her that my husband tells me how to bet word for word and I write it down and when it's not written on my piece of paper I freeze.  She was very nice  . . . . some tellers get really nasty when you don't know what you're doing.

Geez, Deb,  you are too funny!  What did the teller have you wheel under Lemon Drop on Top?  I'm glad she was helpful.  Some tellers are total doody-heads, esp. if they are unionized and don't lose their jobs for being that way.  You need specific how-to instructions, you call me!

Joyce, you win the prize today for the most gutsy mom.

I got a call from someone from another HS and she asked if our US history class was US History A or B. I explained that we don't have an A or B class. I then asked her what their A or B class looked like. Was it based on dates (meaning dates in history)? and she said yes, the A would be from Sept to Dec and the B would be from Jan to June - ROFL!!!!!!!

    *hugs* Lisa.

Poutine - I was thinking that was something dirty.

It snowed here today. Do I need to say more about that? I don't think so.

Don't mail the stuff until the check clears. I used to sell stuff on ebay and would email the buyer to say that I would mail it as soon as the payment cleared. People always appreciated the extra communication so they weren't left wondering.

Here's my decision for tonight: Happy hour with folks from work or SAR stuff? I haven't been to happy hour in a couple months with the group......otoh the dogs need to be let out and if I go to happy hour I won't be home until after 7 probably.
