Monday moaning

    Monday moaning

Lets hear it all.  From the storms in the NE to whatever whacky weather hit elsewhere, to the good, the bad and the ugly!

We lost a LOT of snow yesterday, which of course leads me to wonder what the point was of dumping it on us in the first place......then got down to 21 degrees last night, so what didn't get shoveled yesterday will be like concrete today.  But, we're expecting temps in the 40's this week, so we should get rid of the darned stuff eventually.  I still have leaves on the ground!!  Lots of leaves!

I'm doing a return this morning, which makes me happy....something to do!!  Hope everyone has a great day!

Glenda, seeing the pictures on the news of the snow in the NE. Crazy!  We had a beautiful weekend but I'll spare you the details. lol

I'm not ready for Monday but it seems to have arrived anyway. I'm delaying my departure for the office as long as possible.  I hate driving in the dark and in a few minutes the sun will make an appearance.

I spent most of my afternoon washing dog bedding.  Lots and lots of dog bedding.

Good thoughts for Paige, as well as Johnny.

I was dumbfounded by the amount of snow the NE got.  Better them than us Devil, though I'm sure our turn will come.

    Crashing tree limbs  . . . . check.

    Exploding transformers  . . . . . check.

Blaring sirens and emergency notifications from police cars  . . . . check.

    Power outages  . . . . . . check.

Another warm and fuzzy weekend in the great State of NJ  . . . . priceless.

So frustrated with the corp sync on my phone. I can't figure out if its a problem on the droid side since the new os push or a prob on works side with their new exchange server. All my emails have gone poof on my phone except those from today. I checked the server though and they are still there. No clue...the calendar still shows all my appts from weeks past.

Is anyone ready for the week? I would like to postpone it for another day

We had the highest snowfall totals, BUT, we were fortunate enough to NOT loose our power in this area.  There were only a handful of outages.

Yesterday DH and I went out for a bit and both of us, at the same time, said "this looks like JANUARY".  Just plain freaky to see leaves still on the trees and a couple of feet on the ground!

I guess Mother Nature and Father Winter teamed up for a very good laugh at our expense!  Hoping tho that those without power are restored soon.

I feel much better now. All we had was light rain and a little wind. Sky was gray, but no snow. I do have about 6 inches of maple leaves in the front yard. With a little luck, wind will move most of them to the neighbors yard.

     Happy Halloween!!

Yikes, Deb! Stay safe everyone. ((hugs)) for those who need them.

Today is just a  grey, rainy day -- but I'm blowing into the workweek full speed ahead I guess.

Crud.  The snow that didn't get taken off the top of the car melted a bit and formed trickles of thick ice all over the windows.  Cleaning the car was not a fun thing this morning.  Coming home the roof decided to relieve itself of the snow bank it was holding up...because this morning it was frozen solid and wouldn't budge.  Luckily I was stopping for a light when it decided to avalanche down the windshield!  Suppose that means I can remove the rest of it now......

    LOL!!

I'll Zip it! about our weekend weather too. I worked out at Grace yesterday and spent some time hanging out with the sweetest dog named Oreo. He looks to have some Great Dane in him and is already huge at 8 months old. He's quite shy but once he decides you're okay, he's a love bug. I hated walking away.

I'm not ready for this week and feel generally funky. I feel like a poophead saying this but I really don't like Halloween. It means as soon as I get home tonight I'll be answering the door for close to 2 hrs to hand out candy. I like the cute little ones but there's not enough of them to make it enjoyable and the parents never seem to want to let me keep them Stick out tongue.

I hope everyone affected by the nasty storm is doing better now and we don't see more of that for a few months.

Cathy, just say no.  I don't hand out candy and have never been egged or t.p'd.  Of course, with my house, that might be an improvement. Indifferent

I live in a cul-de-sac where everyone knows everyone and that would just make us creepier than we already are. It would also mean hanging out in the bedroom so no one saw lights on anywhere. I'd end up feeling worse. Honestly though, people who don't even live in our development drive in on Halloween. It's pretty crazy. I should just pour a big glass of wine and sit out on the porch with the candy Big Smile
