I'm so proud of my boy!!

The reason I haven't been around much lately is I kind of met someone. I'm saying kind of because we knew each other years ago, but have recently been in contact spending hours on the phone every night getting to know each other again. I'd been worried about how Boss would react to a strange man in the house and having that man near me, hugging, etc. since I have been single since long before getting Boss.

Yesterday was the true test and the Boss Man met Sam for the first time. I was so proud of him!!!!! Normally Boss goes to the extreme either way, he will either growl and snarl and can't be trusted to not snarl and snap, or he really really likes them and jumps all over them the whole time they are at my house.

Yesterday when Sam first came in the house Boss growled and barked, I put him in his crate and Sam kept talking to him, offering the top of his hand, etc. After a while I let Boss out and we all went outside, Boss decided Sam was all right and jumped up for some petting. That was the extent of the jumping, which shocked me to no end. At one point Sam sat down to eat and Boss laid by his feet quietly. Boss got a nice juicy bone yesterday for being so good and I kept telling him all night even after Sam left how good he was.

I don't know what will happen with Sam and I, but it's good to know that Boss will accept someone into the house, and maybe into my life. Boss actually has been a whole new dog lately, it's like when he hit 2 in June a whole new dog came out overnight.

Well, he had all that teenage angst-lol.  It's great to hear that he is doing well, and great to hear that you are too!  Boss has come so far and is growing up!

Trish, I have noticed you haven't been around & was just about to send you an "Are you okay?" E-mail.  I'm so happy for you I could squeal!  Actually I think I will anyway! ~L~

Gracie was fine for the meeting, I wasn't worried about her as she seems to like everyone as long as she doesn't feel that Boss is in jeopardy. She thinks of herself as his protector.

I'm posting some pics of both of them in photos right now, then you can see how fast she is growing. The brat!
