Jewlieee
Today the weather takes a dump. Bye bye beautiful sunshine
Yep, I think that was the last of summer! BOOOOOOOOO
Not much going on here. The weather has been absolutely amazing the past week or so - so amazing Riley had on her bathing suit Saturday and was running around the front yard with the hose and I actually got a little sunburned. That is pretty much unheard of in Michigan in October. Sooo tired from watching late night sports, but can't complain. Our Lions won Monday Night Football and for this town it was almost as good as winning the Superbowl. What fun!!! Top that off with baseball playoffs and this town is seriously sleep deprived...thankfully the games today and tomorrow are at 4:00!
Our elderly neighbor passed away on Friday. It was definitely a blessing and he went pretty fast (he had liver, kidney and lung cancer). Up until a week or so ago he was still getting around fairly well. We will definitely miss him. Rest in peace Domenico.
Work is a little slow right now (well this week) as I wait for the purchasing department to finish putting the screws to my supplier and get a contract negotiated and signed so I can be buried in work for the next 10 years. I am actually started to get antsy so I wish they would hurry up already.
Went in for Riley's 2nd evaluation for school on Monday. It went well, but I just finished another letter to the school administration at my deep concern that the process is taking waaay to long and they are not in compliant with state laws in terms of timing, etc. I don't care if someone is on maternity leave - get your crap together. My daughter will not suffer because you can't tell your hiney from a hole in the wall. URGHHH. Now I know why we decided to go the private school route originally - I wish they had a progam like this so we wouldn't have had to change over. What a complete and total cluster. I am so disgusted with all the red tape and crappola. Her teachers and evaluators are nice, but seriously enough is enough. She should be in school by now!
