They closed off the garden center in our WallyWorld a couple weeks ago and started putting out the Christmas stuff.  Seriously??  In September?

DH's sister emailed me over a week ago wanting to know what our Christmas plans were. I told her I hadn't a clue and was still in denial about summer ending. She hasn't emailed me back since Indifferent.

The holidays are always a bit depressing to me and all the drama in DH's family really makes it less than pleasant. This will be the 1st year since DH started with the fire dept that he has the day off. Maybe we should go away.

The rain that wasn't supposed to start until this afternoon but started at 9 AM hasn't let up a bit. I'm sure glad I didn't have anything planned for outdoors.

Happy Anniversary Mrs. & Mr. Jackie!!!  The place sounds great.

Add me to the scrooge list.  I HATE the holidays....this'll be the third xmas i unassociated myself with.  Can never seem to get in the spirit.  All the holiday crap in the stores already sucks but the one thing I kinda like (the debil) is all the chocolate!  Devil

I just mowed the lawn for the last time this year.  I'm loving this time of year.....just cool enough that a light sweater feels nice outside but if i wanted to wear a t-shirt i still could.  AND the leaves are all changing so its B e A u T i F u L now!

You guys are all right!  The holidays, for the majority of my adult life, have been stressful and unenjoyable.  I don't get along with the dad (and he is always there).  I'm not comfortable or even enjoy being around my sisters.  Sad, but true.  When the grandkids were born then old enough for Christmas to seem majical it was enjoyable for me.  They are too old for the magic now and just want presents.

Rick says the same thing you all do.  Let's just don't.  The majority of the battle is with myself.  I feel guilty not doing something, especially while Mom is still with us.

Ok, I'll take some whine with that cheese.  Big Smile
