My allergist is a really nice guy - I only go for the once a year mandatory checkup to renew scripts but it is always an easy visit.  We had an interesting talk about prescription prices and health insurance.  I didn't expect a specialist to agree with me but we are completely in agreement.  Made for a good conversation and to some extent a good laugh

I am trying to consolidate my contacts prior to receiving my iPhone on Friday.  My current phone runs Win Mobile 6.5 and syncs with outlook.  My iPad syncs with gmail because I wanted all the emails available to me.  Now I have to figure out how to get phone numbers into the iTunes contacts without deleting gmail contacts.  sigh feels like a waste of precious time but I know it needs to be done

Jackie that looks like a great place for an anniversary dinner :)  I am happy to see you btw, heard there were some tornadoes in your area over the weekend.  Isnt that about parr, when it rains it pours, lol!

Cathy, I checked todays weather on the comcast digital menu last night and it said today was going to be about 78 and sunny ... so I was totally unprepared for this downpour. You'd think that by the time they deliver the 11 p.m. news & weather, they'd know if a storm was headed this way about 8 hrs. later.

Jackie, that restaurant looks amazing.  I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time. Are you going to eat outside, weather permitting?

Geez, Karen, that's a little harsh.

Karen's just jealous, Tina. lol  Joyce, we probably will eat outside, weather permitting. :)   I think I'll skip the entree and just have dessert.  We have one of those living social coupons and good thing because this place is pricey.  Our anniversary is tomorrow but we're waiting till the weekend to celebrate.  We have to go on Sunday since our "deal" isn't good on Friday or Saturday. lol   The living social deal didn't say that until a few days after I bought it.  I got an email basically saying "oops, forgot to mention you have to use this on a week night or Sunday".  

Gin, we did have a small tornado touch down (not near us) but luckily it didn't do too much damage.  The worst damage was at a post office where 19 postal trucks got tossed around like matchstick cars.  A few houses had some roof damage and some trees down but overall nothing too major. 

I almost missed the chat this morning.... Karen was too creative with the title.  Mindless?  Just a little!

We got 3 inches of rain yesterday; and the weatherman said we should have the same today.  Nada.  Not a drop and blue skies with fluffy white clouds.

You know....its very difficult picking out a Barcelona venue all the way from Texas.  I have to pick 3 out of a bunch, then have a local team go check it out.  Thats very hard for me to do.  This means I'll just have to show up and hope it all goes well.  Eek!

Its a little early to be whining about the holidays...but I want to just skip it this year.  I want to do the Secret Santa with you guys.  I want to do the Holiday card thing...but I don't want to do Thanksgiving and I don't want to do the Christmas gatherings at my house.  Bah Humbug.  Family stinks.  They can be so disappointing sometimes.  Wah! Wah! Wah!

Barb, I'm with you.  I was in the grocery/dept. store yesterday and the holiday crap is being set up.  I was so horrified I ran screaming from the area.  The only thing I am looking forward to is mint M&Ms.

Its a little early to be whining about the holidays...but I want to just skip it this year.

Just do it!  Skip the holiday traditions and don't let family pressure guilt you into stuff that makes you stressed.  We often go to the coast for Turkey day to avoid the holiday angst and family drama that always happens.  Christmas is now at someone else's house.  I decreed that a few years ago and despite the gnashing of teeth and family members saying it's just not the same, everyone adjusted fine.  :)  It won't change unless you make it happen.  Just saying.

Barb, I'll be glad to go to Barcelona and help you with picking a venue.  Have your boss send me a plane ticket and I'm so there.  Seriously, I would hate to be in your position but I'm sure you'll work it out.  Maybe Denise has some tips as she just got back from Spain.

Jackie is right Barb, we started our own Thanksgiving tradition.  4 days alone just me n' my man :).  Some of his family didnt like it but they are getting used to it..

Just got thru listening to Eva Cassidy, on you tube...wow what a voice, RIP Eva, I know you must be singin with the Angels, God Bless the Child if anyone needs a pick me up or a calm me down.

In regard to Holidays.  Went into Boscov's Friday morning.  The whole area was full of Christmas trees, cards, lights, decorations of all kinds. UGH made me ill.
