otherwise titled "Queen of the Mountain -- MY THRONE"
Sorry folks, things have just plain been too SERIOUS around here lately -- and I just haven't had an opportunity to post this what with all Billy's 'stuff' and all.
A while back an I-Dog friend of mine sent me a loverly box from Dog.com and inside was a nice little beddie. Now the problem is my dogs, at the time were all 30 pounds each. This is a tiny bed for a tiny dog (like a minpin or a 10 pound dog or under). So since it's about the size of an over-stuffed frisbee I had just put it aside. But since we took Kee Shu, she's about the right size but she came WITH her own liddle beddie (and lord knows I wouldn't want to separate a dog from THEIR liddle beddie, if you get my drift!)
Well the day came when hers had to be laundered and I put this little leopard one in and then IT had to be laundered so this brings the story to "liddle beddie on top of the PILE of laundry ON the futon". Now, sorry -- in MY life lately it's a celebration that there is CLEAN laundry -- much less where it winds up or how long it stays there. But Luna took matters into her own paws -- she's been eyeing this liddle beddie for months -- it's SOFT ... it's .. NEW ... it's .... DESTINED TO BE MINE.
Now hang on a second Lunar Beller ... you're 45 inches long (nose to butt) even IF you're only 14" high. You may only weigh 30 pounds but you have the heart of a rottweiler. Hang it up girlfriend -- no way are you fitting into THAT liddle beddie.
CAN SO MOM.
I was on the computer with my back to the futon and I 'heard' something going on and I had a feeling Luna was playing "Queen of the Mountain" with the laundry. I grabbed my cell phone, opened it to camera and turned around and here is ALL 45" of Luna scrunched up -- her shoulders are under her butt, and her legs are double-wrapped under her -- this 'bed' is literally the size of a frisbee in the center of it. But by golly she was IN it ... and if you asked HER ... she'd have exhaled slowly and said in a small quiet voice "i'm very comfy .. it's ... just ... compact"
So here she is -- Queen of the Mountain (of laundry that is) who FITS (gol darn it -- even if I can't feel my feets) in the LIDDLE BEDDIE.
(ed. note - no, she didn't get to keep it -- she'd LIKE to ... and if wishes were horses Beggars would ride ...) Life sux when your Mom laughs at you THIS bad!! LOL
