    It's Monday.....MC

How is it that the weekend manages to vanish soooo fast??

We had some beautiful sunshine yesterday for about two hours and then got dumped on with rain again.  The clouds and gloomy weather continue.  And I KEEP begging it to go see Jackie.

I did manage to get my garden picked before the rain, and dug some taters for tonites beef stew.  Amazing that the green beans and squashes are all still going strong.  Some of the tomatoes are starting to give up the ghost, but the jullietes are still overproducing.  NOT a complaint.  Those things are like eating candy!

I have a major client issue to deal with today that is going to take a whole lot of energy.  Need to mainline the caffeine.

Hope everyone has a great day....and I may be hitting the Tiki bar early!

I had a pretty good weekend.  Dinner and a show in the city on Saturday.  Yesterday I spent some time in the kitchen  . . . swedish meatballs, stuffed peppers, corn and bacon chowder.  I should be set for the week.  I also ordered my Kindle Fire  . . . can't wait !!

I'm off all week - woohoo!! I will probaby go in on Wednesday but it still feels fantastic not to get ready for work today.

We're supposed to get a little rain later today and then a bigger storm on Wednesday. The weekend weather was absolutely perfect though.

I worked out at Grace yesterday and had a great time. I was worried that my back might flare up but I actually felt fantastic. I'm waking up every morning with a little achiness but after moving around and taking a few motrin, it's fine.

My BFF called yesterday afternoon and was in a bad place with her DH. I felt like my advice just made things worse for her and felt sad about that and the whole situation for the rest of the evening.

It's going to be a beautiful day.  I should be at the park with the dogs instead of at the office.

A historic building burned down here this weekend.  Built in the late 1880's and located on Main Plaza in the heart of downtown San Antonio.  It's a total loss and won't be rebuilt.

That's all I've got this morning.

Glenda, that is too cool that you have a garden that you pull veggies and potatoes from. I tried a garden before but nothing ever looked edible Sad

We had such a beautiful weekend! Got Marley out to the dog park one day and Gramma's the next....he was dog tired by Sunday night.

Tried my hand at making banana bread...I know, I know...how hard can it be? Well, for me...the person who never bakes anything...I forgot the milk. It turned out pretty good still.
Leaving early today from work for a med appt....I hate making up time.

Hope everyone has a puptastic Monday!

Crying There was an old courthouse about 30 minutes from here that burned down after a lightning strike last year.  So sad to think of all they've been through and then gone.

I'm thinking that the milk I drank last night that I thought might have been close to bad was a bit too close Ick! Having a little tummy issue this morning

Taking Bugsy to a new vet this morning and I am stressing about it - I hate confrontation and I have this awful feeling like I am betraying the vet we've used since we got him.  I hope that this one works out and that if I change its the only time I have to change vets.

Weather is cool but fabulous - about 40* this morning but going to be nearly 70* - the rest of the week is going to be stupendous too

OK best get moving - have a good one everyone

Oh Jackie, that's awful.  Its always saddens me when our historic buildings or memorials are ruined.

Karen, please don't stress over it.  You'd be surprised how many people use multiple vets.  Most recently me...with Buddy's accupuncturist and his regular vet.  It helped me to have both of them to turn to.  Of course, I know you are thinking about switching and that just fine too.  Nothing wrong with it AT ALL.

I got my butt up this morning and exercised for 1/2 hour then took the dogs for a run/walk.  Cool, brisk morning here in SE Texas.  I've got all the windows open.  Fabulous day to work from home!

My boss is taking a day off today which she needs desparately...we have so much going on at work these days.  She just called me to tell me that she is on her way to get a massage; and had a surprise for me that she just can't keep to herself.  Big Smile

You might remember that recently she got me a $350 gift certificate to a local spa; and I opted for a micro abrasion facial.  Had the first session Saturday before last....and I go for the second on 15th.  AND, she just told me that she got me all signed up for two more facials for a later time!  You know....sometimes she is challenging and frustrating.  But, other times, she is a jewel.  Today:  I love her!  Stick out tongue

I have a bunch of new pictures to post...a bunch of them using my new bounce flash.  Everyone needs a bounce flash!  The pictures inside the house are awesome.  Will show you some shortly.

David and I had a "fun" weekend - saw a local production of "The Importance of Being Ernest" which was maybe the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Didn't get much done at home but we *needed* a fun weekend together.  Got the first of my "challenges" ironed out at work this morning -- It's a  MONDAY!!! LOL

Can't bend over, can't walk normally, can't twist to my right.  Gracie is entered in Nationals tomorrow for her last run of Rally to earn the last leg of her RAE title. I hope to god I can recover in time for tomorrow morning.  I'm so mad

Barb, your boss knows when she's got someone good.  :)  Enjoy.

It really bummed me out to see that neat old building burn down.  There was also some damage to a building nearby which housed, among other tenants, about 300 City staffers.  One department in that building is the finance office for the city.  We get a lot of checks from the city and I'm thinking I better go down there and volunteer to help them relocate.

Karen, I had a very hard time leaving my old vet but it turned out to be a great move.  Hope your experience is similar.

Not good! I hope you are recovered by tomorrow as well! What did you do to yourself?

Tina, you should let someone at the radio station know.  Often they don't stream within the building itself and don't know there is an issue, but once they know, it's a really easy fix.

Jackie, that is really sad.  Our town is chock full of historic buildings and we lost a really old mansion (early 1800's) last winter.  And sadly, it had been converted for apartments so 30 families lost thier homes.

Gosh Barb, I'd love to have a boss who bought me facials, or massages!  Lucky gal, but, I'm sure you'e more than earned the consideration.

I got my client taken care of, but, it looks now as if his stepdaughter is playing games and trying to cause problems.  I suggested that he have a chat with his attorney since his wife passed away last year.  And, of course, he got the IRS notice regarding TWO returns filed, on the first anniversery of her death.  Poor man.  81 years old and sharp as a razor.

    Crazy day at work....

Hope everyone has a great day!
