Yea for rain!!!!
its low 50's, overcast, drizzly and WINDY - this could easily pass for November weather here. Feels refreshing but it is a huge switch from the high of 93 of yesterday LOL
OK the house diagonally across from us has changed hands 3x since we moved here. Each new owner seems dumber than the last. This one has a sweet XL lab - who they said never leaves the yard and never barks. Well that isn't reality. He spends his days outside and his nights in the garage - they leave a door open about 2ft so he can get in and out. Never mind that that also allows access to the 8 million critters that are in this area it also allows him to wander. I have seen him in daylight across the main road upteen times, across the cul de sac, in the road, in the neighbor's etc. He barks full alarm barks when you go to the mailbox to get the paper or someone walks by or ........ Karen isn't too thrilled with this scenario as it is in the HOA covenants that your pets must be contained on your property. I have spoken to these people several times from the angle of it isn't safe to no avail.
So this morning I am getting ready to take Bugsy for his walk and I hear him going nuts like one of his buddies is in the yard so I go downstairs to let him out and Oh look the lab that never leaves his yard is rooting through my garage.
Meanwhile Bugsy is running around like a fool thrilled to have a play buddy. But XL lab clearly doesn't understand what B is doing and is cowering (this makes me sad as B was playbowing and had gotten a wubba to play) I say come on Rio let's go home and he cowers worse. But I get him moving back towards his house. As I am just getting him across the cul de sac "mom" comes home and looks at me like I am a PIA and says, "was he in your yard?" Yes actually he was in my garage. You know I don't want him in my garage or in my yard. BTW several times this week he's been......this morning he was in the road and I saw a car come to a stop because of this.... etc. Well she was giving me this evil eye and all. I said again if it were my dog from a safety standpoint I'd really want to ensure he wasn't outside my property. She is still looking at me like I am a butthead. I am not sure how I refrained from letting her know she wasn't in the sticks anymore and that it is in the covenants that pets are to be contained on their property and I will report the next time I see him wandering, but I did. This is the last time though.
I mean the dog is friendly enough but he clearly has no idea what his boundaries are and how sad is it that he didn't even understand how to play? And don't get me started on the fact he is essentially "an outside dog"
Rant over
Jano I am horrified that you had snow already - I like snow but not just yet
Got my haircut yesterday and she did a GREAT job!
