    Is he stoopid?" LOL

LOL, yes Mar he prolly is, I mean really.....do you think I can read your mind???? LOL!

Tina I am happy to hear you are in chocolate mode, that must mean you are feeling better.

We had a cold front come thru last night and the wind was blowing cooled the house down very quickly.  We all slept very well with the windows open, ahhhhh it was good.  Now we just need some of that rain they keep threatening.

WTG Abbie, I have been working with Rocky on "leave it" he is getting much better.  It is hard to break his focus but he is getting better.

Just got off the phone with Electric company rep.  got to figure out what we are going to do about heat now that we have managed to survive the summer.  Trying to get some input.  I have worked with the guy before he is a very nice man and was very informative.  Now all I have to do is figure out how to pay for what we need, lol.  Guess I will have to start buying lottery tickets, Wink

    Have a good day all..

ETA: So sorry to hear about your friends Rottie....please send her hugs from a former Rottie mom (((hugs)))  We lost our 1st Rottie at age 8 suddenly and unexpectedly.  Of course our heart dog Rottie at age 4 to cancer.  The friends here and the Rainbow bridge  helped me thru it. Tell her we are sending her special vibes.

This is interesting....if you have a dog prone to escaping the yard, maybe even some use in SAR....or police dogs....or military dogs.....

Living here in FL, the land of all bugs, mosquitos are quite abundant. I hate using the monthly flea/tick topicals, but have to because of the fleas that are everywhere. I have to treat Marley once a month with Frontline Plus for the fleas and once a month with Hartgard for the heartworms. I rescued my last boxer from somebody and he had stage 2 heartworms when we got him. Almost lost him. I will never have another dog that isnt on some form of heartworm medicine. But yes, mosquitos bite the dogs and we live on a conservation so we have woods behind us and during the summer, the mosquitos come out in FULL force. There are times Marley will come in with bites all over him Sad

I dont know how true it is, but I heard if you rub a dryer sheet on your dog, it will help deter the bugs.

So sorry to hear about your friends Rottie. Ask her to join this forum, plenty of people here have been through the same thing and have lots of consoling advice to give. Hopefully she can find comfort in her children and grandkids.

Ewww..I hate mosquitoes!! We haven't had too many of them this year but I still worry about the heartworm. A neighbor had missed a few months of prevention and all 3 of her dogs ended up with heartworms. She was able to treat them and save them but it wasn't easy or cheap.

I decided to take tomorrow off. I'm still close to being maxed out on vacation time and really need all the 3 day weekends I can get. I'm pretty excited that today is my Friday.

I am suddenly VERY grateful that we don't have heartworm here. Fleas on the other hand... *shudder*

It's raining.... Of course it has to rain when Maze has an appointment with the holistic lady. Lol.

I saw something similar from Garmin at AT&T the other day, similar price point too. After Pirate's shenanigan's two weeks ago, I'm tempted. I want to attach whatever it is to a harness, though. Wendy tries to remove anything around his neck *sigh*

Waiting around Panera, waiting for my online seminar to get started. Of course I drank a large iced latte on the way here, and all of a green tea and a bowl of soup...I'm about to pee my pants. Do I pack up all my stuff, computer included, and go to the bathrooms? Or try and hold it?? What a dilemma.

    • Gold Top Dog

Meg, I think you could attach it to a harness with little difficulty.  I would be seriously tempted if I had a dog prone to running off if the opportunity presented itself.  Baily has gotten out of the yard a couple times...but he just lollygags down the block exploring everybody's back yards.

Yup it is the Atlantic in NC.  We go in May and late September for a few days each time - we ALL cherish the down time
