Monday moaning

I've got a really, really big bottle of Vodka icing down in the freezer in anticipation of the stock market opening today.

Back from vaca at the in-laws - I could have used that bottle of vodka Deb, let me tell you.

I have never been so glad to be back at work.

Here we are again.  Another day another dollar or maybe that's another quarter, these days.  Woke up at 3 am this morning and never got back to sleep.   

We never did make it to the botanical gardens yesterday.  We couldn't seem to get our act together and then it got too hot.  We did have some great margaritas on Saturday at one of our favorite restaraunts.

Lisa I have had that feeling - but part of me is looking forward to hearing the stories LOL

Our entire house is falling apart - we feel like the poster children for renting - we started pumping orange water out the other day, then it cleared then it was back. Looking back we have had a bit of a staining issue but NOTHING significant,  until this weekend.  Apparently this has been going around the neighborhood and it is iron leaking into the aquifer.  So we'll need to install a filter at the well. Sure here's another couple of grand DH said he was hoping for a string of good luck, I said all I want is a string of no bad luck.

Meantime poor Bugsy is still not well so I guess we'll be headed to the vet - I know it isn't a good time to change vets but I am fairly tired of the simplistic view of our current vet which amongst the other issues sort  of prevents me from taking the beast in - I feel like they run the same tests with the same results and no answers.

Deb I hope that bottle will make it all the way around to Arkansas.  I am not even going to look at my 401 k.  I dont usually pay much attention to it anyway but today would not be a good day to look at it.

The good news is , we got a smidge of rain on Sunday a.m. and starting tomorrow there is a promise of double digit temps as opposed to triple digit temps.  Hard to believe I am excited about temps in the 90's, lol.  They are also saying a chance of rain each day this week, I will do my best to blow it down to Texas :)

All I did was clean house this weekend.  Not so that you can tell it but had to do it!  Hubby got out of the house early Sat. so I had to take the opportunity to clean, man was it hot, but....I got a few things done. 

Busy day ahead, have a good one!

"They" say if a couple can withstand the pressures of home remodeling....they can withstand anything that crosses their paths.  You guys will be so happy when all of this is over.  And, you will have an even more beautiful home.

Hope Bugsy is ok.  Maybe a vet change isn't a bad idea.

Buddy didn't get acupuncture treatment last week because Dr Knapp wasn't around.  He gets another one this Friday.  That and the deep massage I've been giving him seems to help him feel a bit better.  :-)

I'm glad it's helping and the acupuncture too.  I feel like *I* need it this morning.  Particularly the massage.

I posted a new thread for our resident bug experts...got a couple of picture of a weird camo flying insect.  Last year the bug people were dead on target with my weird bug picture.

Oh man.  I just got offered a Doberman puppy from a male from a well-known breeder in California.  All I'd have to pay for is ear-cropping.  AAaccck!  So cruel to tempt me like this, world!  So cruel....
