I detest French fries.  I know, how un-American.  I don't like Oreos either.

    wow that is unAmerican!

Speaking of Americans - wish the women's soccer team luck they play France in the semi-finals today

LOL yes we made it through the night - Jackie Bugsy's tail isn't wagging its normal amount - too hot :)

Left DH at home with another AC company getting an estimate.  Hoping he sees more than the bottom line - I had a feeling the guy was attempting to sell us a crappy unit.  Ginger I am so sorry you are without air for so long.  We have an upstairs unit so that is running OT but keeping some of the heat and humidity out of the ground floor.  It was our 14th anniversary last night and we just sat eating chips and queso drinking mojitos.  Steamy and tropical LOL someone not as sexy as it looks in the magazines :)

That stupid cat came back to the yard last night - apparently it wants to die.  OK I am typing on a public machine so best log out and get on with work

We have some training going on here all day, so I ordered pizzas for everyone.

Um -- what time is lunch?  Pizza might be worth a short road trip? Party!!!

Tina, I have weird food "issues" so although I like fries, oreos and peas I understand being different with regards to food!

I always see super cute clothes on other people but when I go shopping I don't like anything!  It's difficult.  DH always wants me to wear cute things but he's not the one who has to not only find the cute dress/skirt but then also make sure the shoes/accessories match.  It's just not so simple!

I'm a little bit bummed out today, usually I can brush it off but this just has me a little down.  Maybe I should come for pizza too, that always helps :)

I love french fries but have been avoiding them since I don't have much self control when they are hot and fresh and perfectly cooked.

Karen, here's hoping you get some cooling soon.  Happy Anniversary, a day late.  Sweaty is ok sometimes but not when you're sitting around wishing you were cool.  Bugsy, get with the program, bud.  Wag more, chase less.  That cat sounds suicidal....

I adore french fries and I agree that mayo is much better for dipping than ketchup.

I love French fries... I detest ketchup!  Ick!  There is nothing in this world that I will ever eat ketchup on.  Not french fries, not meatloaf, not a hotdog, not hamburger, nothing.

Ginger, glad to hear your granddaughter is coming home on leave!

Glenda, good luck on the interview!

Stressful week here, got to get back to the grind.

It's like a garlicky mayo.  I absolutely detest ketchup and would rather stick needles in my eyes than eat it, so I usually do mayo on my burgers and fries.  I know it sounds gross, but try it sometime !!

MMMMMMMM  Yummy!  I detest ketchup too....I also eat mayo on any kind of sammich :).  I will on occasion do a tiny bit of musturd with my mayo on my sammich but yuck on the ketchup!   I have been know to dip my fries in Sourcream or Ranch dressing.   I will definately have to check out the garlicky mayo!

Why am I reading this before I eat lunch??  All this talk of french fries is making me hungry!  Tina -- you detest fries?  I thought you were a fellow member of the carb-addiction club like me?  Wink  Do you like potato anything, or is it just fries you hate?  I generally don't like food at McDonald's, but I sure do LOVE their french fries!

All of you in the hot/humid parts of the country have my sympathy.  I dislike mostly everything about Oregon's climate, but at least we don't have humidity.  Today is the second day in a row with grey skies, some drizzle, and cool temps (it was 56 degrees when I got up this AM, and it's not supposed to reach 70).  It stinks to be wearing jeans and long sleeve shirt in mid-July . . . . but I would be a very crabby person if I were in the sticky heat some of you are describing.  And without A/C?!  If I could send you some cool Oregon air, I would do it ASAP!!

I hate clothes shopping, too.  Too overwhelming -- I wander around and hardly try anything on.  Before my friend had a baby, she was my "personal shopper."  She loves shopping and has a good fashion sense, so I'd stand in the dressing room, and she'd bring me outfits.  I loved it!  I lost her services once motherhood reduced her time for leisurely shopping!

Had an invasion of lightening bugs last night. Quiet warm evening.  Apparently the solar powered lights my wife put out work as decoys.  It's really hard to get a good photo of them, so just picture dark with frequent flashes of light showing up in random places.  It was pretty.

Weather man is forecasting 2 inches of rain tonight.  May have to pull the canoe in closer to the house.

I am a carb addict, but prefer mine in the form of pasta and bread.  Potatoes, well, I really only like them mashed and I have to eat them hot.  I don't like lukewarm or cold potatoes.  I will blame it all on my childhood.  The theory that forcing people to eat more of what they don't like to make them like it doesn't work.

I agree 100%!  We had a daycare provider/babysitter when I was about 5 who made us sit at the table until we ate whatever she put in front of us.  To this day, the thought of eating baloney, hot dogs, or spaghettio's makes me sick!

Not to be an alarmist, but a little bit of "keep your eyes peeled" type something to share.

A 22 yr old white male fled NY State in a 2003 Black 2 dr Mustang, with a 24 year old woman and their 4 month old son....mom and son are thot to be hostages.  He was seen in Adams MA this morning around 5AM, asked directions for 91, which I guess is a North/South interstate.  He *might* have been spotted in Gilroy, NH a short time ago.

This dude is wanted for questioning in connection with an arson fire that killed 3 in NY.  He is thot to be armed (rifle type armed) and extremely dangerous.  The car has NY plates, that start with DED.

Amber alert for mom and baby in MA and CT.

Keep your eyes open guys, but stay safe.  Sounds like a scarey dude.

ETA:  It's Gilson, not Gilroy NH, and they are now saying that the guy has swastica (sp) tats on both arms.  Crap, it's Gilsum.  The fire he started killed his mom, step dad and step bro.

Tina, we must have had the same dad in another life. As a result, I never, ever tried to force my kids to eat anything they didn't want.  I just told them if they didn't want what was for dinner, open a can of chili or soup or make a PJ&J. They just had to eat something that had some nutritional value if they wanted dessert.

I taped the 2 hr. interview with Jaycee Lee Dugard last Sunday, but so far haven't found time to watch it.  Maybe this weekend. We're still enjoying unseasonably cool weather, but it looks like next week we'll be back to the more normal mid to high 90s.

Glenda, everything that can possibly be crossed will be crossed for you -  fingers, toes, legs, paws. Big Smile
