OMG.  It really creates a clusterfluff when the wrong people get involved.  Especially when those people are high enough up the chain that folks just do exactly what he says, even when it's wrong.  I had the guts to say no, wait, this is wrong, this wasn't the right action to take, and refused to complete the final step.  I was right, and now we're back to cleaning up the info before my final step is taken.  Phew.... but what a waste of time and energy!

Anyway!  Hope baby Cooper has made a smooth and easy transition into this world and he and Sarah are doing beautifully.  Facebook peeps, pls let the rest of us know when that hapens!

Tina, I'm a chicken about things that risk my life, too. lol  I won't go on anyone's motorcycle except my dad's.  I trust his skills, even now that he's 73yrs old.  I get these guys who brag about having some wonderful motorcycle or other and wanting to take me for a ride - no, thank you.  I'd sooner be taking lessons and riding by myself on my own motorcycle.  So, there's an idea - you could learn how to fly a plane yourself?? lol  But, if you like it, why not, right?  I hope you enjoy it - it says a lot that your friend makes you feel safe enough to give it a try at all - YAAAY!

He leases a Cessna-type 4 seater.  Jackie, you'd be bummed because there is no bathroom!

The uncle who took us flying was pretty well off (till he made some bad investments) and the plane was pretty spacious for a small plane.

Cathy, I can't imagine how sad that funeral was.

Tina, forgot to send out good vibes for your coworker's wife's surgery.  Sending them right this second. :)

Meg, I don't know if I'm ready for your wedding pic's but send 'em anyway!  LOL

Actually he said he'd let me "steer"! Travel It is a long and expensive process to learn how to fly, so not sure I can, but sometimes it is all about the first step.

I'm sitting here looking out the window at a really dark gray sky and listening to thunder rumble, waiting for the rain to start. Sad I brought the pool towels inside but everything else can just get wet.  And yes, it is supposed to be 100 again by the weekend.

I'm thinking Saturday would be a good day to take a cruise through Costco.  The weekend before a holiday they should be handing out some spectacular snacks  to sample. No big plans for the 4th. I can see the fireworks from my driveway since they set them off on the high school football field and I'm about a 5 minute walk from there.

Yea, it definitely takes a lot of trust and there are several people that we ride in groups with that there is no way I'd actually get on a bike w/ them.  Part of me would be reluctant to get on with my dad b/c it has been so many years since he's rode.  But I know that would hurt his feelings so I'd have a hard time making that call.

ETA:  I also have a "no passengers" rule.  I'm not comfortable w/ the idea of being that responsible for someone else.

You're kidding, right? You couldn't get me into Costco this weekend for all the goodies in the world but I get grouchy in there on a slow day. The free food stands make me even crazier. Ick!

This meeting were having is to go over our responsibilities and discuss any needed changes. One guy has a very high opinion of the very little work he does. My stomach was churning listening to him elaborate on every teeny thing he does. Ugh!!

Good luck to Sarah! I can't wait to see itty bitty squishy baby face pics.

Cathy, I can't even imagine how heartbreaking that must have been.

So do airplane toilets really just flush out... into the air? Or do they have a tank like a camper?

Megan, I'd love to see your wedding pics also. I bet it was a blast.

4th of July is always a big holiday with my family. My aunt and uncle have a huge, beautiful, resort-like chunk of property, including a swimming pond, and they invite everyone over for a cookout and festivities after the parade. I've got two aunts and their kids/families coming from out of town, plus my sister and her family are coming too. The kids are going to have so much fun playing together. Willa is really excited.

It's finally been sunny enough around here for the strawberries to ripen. My mom and I are going picking Thursday morning. I didn't go last year, and have been going through serious freezer jam withdrawal for a year. I think I'm going to need a small chest freezer!

So I have a house full of animals right now. LOL 3 cats and 3 dogs. One cat I'm keeping, one belongs to Alex and the other is a foster who should be going home soon. And the dogs.. Well obviously 2 are mine and the third is Old Man Dipstick. I'll try and get some pictures tonight for Karen. He's a sweet old guy.

Other then that... Having a lazy day watching the animals.

Whew. Thanks Tina! Glad to know I won't be getting hit by a flying poo. Well, not from an airplane at least...

I have my nephews bday party this weekend but a few of us have thrown around a last minute camping trip idea. So who knows what will shake out. I would be ok with staying home too since i travel so stinking much and i have 3 big trips coming up.

Speaking of flying i need to try to swing an approval to drive to DC and GA instead of flying. I hate flying and since both of those places are within a days drive i would rather drive than fly.

Today was busy and im exhuasted. Im in early every day this week which throws me all off! Boring training the next 2 days which puts a total monkey wrench in getting real work done.

    Wow im super boring today!
