Speaking from the "compact up top" experience, often cup size is not even as important as the proper band size. Definitely go in for a fitting. Or, if you're obnoxious like me, look for tips online and measure yourself. Then, go to somewhere like Marshall's or TJ Maxx and pick stuff out and experiment. That way if you decide you're not happy with one, you're out $5-10 instead of $15-30!
Leslie, sounds like a fun trip! Hope it's awesome!!
Cathy, 13.1 is *awfully* small. If you're really in the market for a horse, I'd look at one bigger than that. Even if the pony is stocky. 14h and stocky, good chance. 15h, sure. But I'd definitely be uncomfortable about longterm soundness implications for an average-sized adult riding a 13.1 pony for any length of time. For one ride here and there, it would probably be fine, but long-term? Would definitely make me nervous. I know it's hard to shake those sorts of feelings... (I have a horse right now that I WANT that is listed online in my area. But, I'm not in a position to support a horse long term right now, so it's not for me... but I WANT it!) ...but, voice of reason here saying that *first* you need to be really convinced you're up to the responsibilities of horse ownership. To really want a horse, any horse, and be 120% prepared for all of the crazy unexpected horse expenses. *Then* you can look for that one special equine to steal your heart. :) Maybe you can help it by finding the lovely pony a perfect new owner?
