Paige - Congrats on your new car! I wouldn't spend too much time worrying about the deal you got. It's kind of like checking the sale ads after Christmas to see how cheap you could've gotten everything you bought, if you'd waiting. You did your homework and now it's time to just enjoy your purchase.

Good point... and how did you know I do that? lol  Kidding, but I'm very similar to that.  I had a deadline of getting it accomplished by the end of June, so, it's done now.  I will just spend some time doing the cleaning I think the dealership should have done.

I'm having a partially productive day, despite my head swimming.  I really hope this isn't a benedryl effect, because I deliberately took that before I went to bed (to relieve some of this itching).  Now I feel like head is filled with pudding, instead of a brain with electrical synapses happening, etc.

It's been a while since I've posted pics of G - here's one I found on my camera today.  It's from our drive from CO to NH, but it's cute:

You know, not every dog can pull off wearing a hat but Gracie looks marvelous!! :)

There's a quarter pinto pony (is that the right order?) up for adoption at Grace and I'm obsessed with the idea of getting her. I have no idea how to pull it off and want to stop thinking about her but I can't. She's only 13.1 hands and the trainer says she'd work for someone small but I wonder what "small" means. They took her out for a trail ride while I was there and the girl riding her looked about my size. Oy - I hate when my brain gets stuck on something like this.

    Oooooooh Gracie  . . . . . . . SO ready for Summer !!!!

I wonder how hard it is, when a person takes the time to send a birthday present, for the recipient to at least have the courtesy to say "I got it."  Not even thanks, just let me know it arrived (I know it did thanks to delivery confirmation). Angry

This bugs the hell-o out of me too, especially in this day and age of high tech gadgets.  How hard can it be to send an e-mail or a text (doG forbid they should actually have to pick up a pen & paper or make a phone call) and just say "your gift came - thanks."

We're having absolutely gorgeous weather and I really hope it holds for awhile ... and I really have to figure out a way to get Max to stop eating paper towels.  He pooped three times on our walk yesterday, and it wasn't a very long walk at all.  We just looped around four short streets. Tongue Tied

Gracie dog, you are lookin' HAWT! *whistles*

I went to the dentist this morning for my regular 6 month checkup. The dentist said I was "super boring" because my teeth are so nice and I've never had any cavities or dental issues. lol. He did say that I have a little extra bone in my jaw, and I might get more little bumps/growths. They're not a big deal, and it's under the gum tissue. He also said that I probably won't get osteoporosis when I'm older because my body is really good at making bone. Ok then!

I really need to get some new bras. Apparently I have a case of the incredible shrinking boobs. Tongue Tied Especially since I stopped nursing. I'm smaller than I have ever been. There aren't any good stores around here that carry small sizes, and I really like to try them on so I'm afraid to buy online. *sigh*

    Gracie, you look fabulous!

Cathy, call & ask if the pony would work for you.  It never hurts to ask.....

Cher quicked herself over the weekend.  I'm not really sure how she pulled it off, but she's got a bloody nub of a toenail & when she remembers, she limps for extra sympathy.  Fortunately, she doesn't remember often.

I am ready to go home.  Work is not going well, & I really think that I am entitled to a do-over.

I was looking forward to *finally* having boobs during pregnancy and such, and now you scare me that they might get smaller afterwards? Crying

I know you probably aren't looking for crazy expensive, but Victoria's Secret out here even have bins for as small as AA, at least during their clearance sale.  I never enter such store without a sale so I don't know about it at regular times outside of a clearance.  I like to shop at JC Penney's and Macy's for bras but since they are on racks and not sized bins I don't remember their sizing.

Janice, after pregnancy and breastfeeding, nobody is the same size or shape.  I strongly recommend you get fitted - it will make shopping easier, for the most part, if you can find a brand and stick with it.  Your shoulders, back, neck, and boobs will thank you. Smile  And no, I don't work for a brassiere company.

Speaking from the "compact up top" experience, often cup size is not even as important as the proper band size. Definitely go in for a fitting. Or, if you're obnoxious like me, look for tips online and measure yourself. Then, go to somewhere like Marshall's or TJ Maxx and pick stuff out and experiment. That way if you decide you're not happy with one, you're out $5-10 instead of $15-30!

Leslie, sounds like a fun trip! Hope it's awesome!!

Cathy, 13.1 is *awfully* small. If you're really in the market for a horse, I'd look at one bigger than that. Even if the pony is stocky. 14h and stocky, good chance. 15h, sure. But I'd definitely be uncomfortable about longterm soundness implications for an average-sized adult riding a 13.1 pony for any length of time. For one ride here and there, it would probably be fine, but long-term? Would definitely make me nervous. I know it's hard to shake those sorts of feelings... (I have a horse right now that I WANT that is listed online in my area. But, I'm not in a position to support a horse long term right now, so it's not for me... but I WANT it!) ...but, voice of reason here saying that *first* you need to be really convinced you're up to the responsibilities of horse ownership. To really want a horse, any horse, and be 120% prepared for all of the crazy unexpected horse expenses. *Then* you can look for that one special equine to steal your heart. :) Maybe you can help it by finding the lovely pony a perfect new owner?

I had no idea, either! They were nice when I was pregnant and nursing. I looked up how to measure yourself online... and I think I'm a 36AA. Geeked I'll have to get sized somewhere to be sure. I didn't know VS had that small, I'll check it out.

VS has a huge range of sizes.  I am a 34DD and have a hard time finding stuff that fits right.

It is worth getting fitted.  I have measured myself, too, but found it was less accurate, since the tape slips. It's hard to know once your breasts have sagged a little, where exactly to measure. Embarrassed

No matter what size you are, the band is important because that should be the primary support, not the straps.

    Cathy, 13.1 is *awfully* small.

Can you view  the clip of her on my FB page? She just doesn't look that small to me but I'm sure they know how to measure accurately. You're right though about it probably not being practical. I have no knowledge about taking care of a horse and although I could board one near my house, I'd want to have a lot more education on care, riding, and anything else I need to know. I feel like a 2 y.o. thinking "I want it and I want it now!" Stick out tongue

My soon to be ex boss came in and took my soon to be new boss and me out to lunch. I had the yummiest panini with fresh fruit and now I feel like I need a nap.

So I've had VS and others do the measurement, and they keep telling me I'm a 32, and I'm fairly short/small so I believe them, but I swear they are too tight and I always get 34.  When you're small on top though, you do need a tight band or it's fairly easy to lift your arms and have everything just slide up Surprise  I'm the first one to admit that the bra I have on right this minute doesn't fit perfect, but it's comfortable and has just the right amount of padding Stick out tongue

I also didn't realize this for a long time, but a certain cup size changes a lot depending on the band size for at least some manufacturer's -- so a 32 on the widest setting and a 34 on the smallest setting might be super close in band size but the cup will actually be different even if they are both A, B whatever.  So a 32B and a 34A might be pretty comparable, for example.

In other news, the basement is coming together nicely and I should be able to start PAINTING this week!!!  Party!!!  I love this stage, where it's mostly cosmetic so everything just comes together and begins to look more like the final product.

Cathy, I dunno that we're facebook friends? Couldn't see it. I so understand the longing, though. Whenever I want to torture myself I go on dreamhorse.com.... oh man!!! Some day.

Re: lady garments - Nicole, you're so right with cup size differences. Means different things based on the bra brand, too. Also, how far apart your "lady assets" are from each other - if they're wide set vs. close together, how broad your rib cage is, etc. This site is really useful info on fittings!!! http://www.evesappleslingerie.com/advice Yes, maybe I have spent a lot of time researching these things... :-p It's hard for some of us more petite ladies to find things that actually fit!

The humidity has returned. Oh well, the last 2 days were a nice reprieve. Now my hair is back to frizidty style.

Just played some frisbee with the dogs. I need to order some new discs and get neiko back to doing his tricks. Im down to our last decent frisbee and with the way they tear them up this will hardly last a month. Anyhow the dogs are hot panting and relaxed. Im tired from all the driving today so its time to kick back and read a book or something. This is really going to be a LONG week if im this tired already.

P.s. yay for lawn mowing man. My lawn looks so neat and clean. If it werent for him my lawn would not have been mowed these last 2 weeks.
