Tired Thursday chat

    Tired Thursday chat

Not sure why when it gets to Thursday I feel like I'm swimming upstream in a river of molassas.  And, I didn't even work on Monday!

Gloomy and rainey here again today but we are supposed to get some sunshine over the weekend, which I'll enjoy.  The pattern seems to be very hot and uncomfortable (for me) weather, and then a cool down with lots of rain.  Still learning what the weather patterns are here.

Wishing more rain for TX and Karen, hugs to all who need them, and a GREAT almost Friday for everyone!

Add me to the sleepies.  I think I should take Benadryl every night, though - woo, I actually get some solid SLEEP!!

Alright, going to be late for work.  TTFN

Going to be?  I'm already there!  LOL!  I like coming in early and getting finished early.  Altho, there will be no yard work accomplished today......

I am clearly soooooo out of shape. My 1-mile uphill bike ride to work kicks my BUTT. Sweating, heart racing, breathing hard. I feel so pathetic!!!

Looks like we're going to get more rain today. We don't really need it here, so I'll try to send it down to y'all who could use it.

I'm not sleepy, but it IS hard getting out of bed when you could be snuggling with this:

I am dragging today, too! I think it's a combination of the weather and a project for work that I am just dreading. Deb, I agree--'cuz who can resist a snuggle-beagle?

Hugs for all who need them.

I hope those needing sun get some rays today and those needing rain get some showers.  The rain yesterday was literally a drop in the bucket as far as our drought conditions but it sure was appreciated by everyone here.

Belle was barking furiously at something on the back porch this morning.  I know that bark and went to investigate.  A tarantula found himself stranded on the window screen.  From past experiences, I know the dogs won't harm these (tarantulas have an impressive threat display) but I moved him over the fence, just in case.  The species we have around here are  very docile and their bite is not dangerous or even very painful.  I like the hairy things and they have an interesting life cycle and eat crickets and other pest insects. :)  I posted a pic on FB before I relocated him.

Rackspace is hosting a Farmers Market today so I think I'll go have lunch there.  It's not lunchtime yet, is it? lol

Jackie:  I can't believe you moved that spider !!  I just saw the picture on FB and I think I would have dropped dead on the spot if I had seen that monster !!

Jackie that was a very hairy 'thing' Big Smile And brave you! I guess you get used to the native critters but that one might take me a while ;)

Speaking of dogs going crazy - DH sent B out for the end of the night business and decided against turning any outside lights on.  Apparently something of very high interest was out there because I heard B sound the full alarm - first bark in well over a month - and he was giving it the full treatment.  He then was running around furiously for over 20 minutes.  DH came to get me to see if I could get him in LOL I did and also told DH that he really should put the lights on and that way it sends a warning to wildlife and/or at least you can see what is in the yard

I haven't any idea what in the world he was after but I have to guess the critter is unlikely to wander into this yard for a while ha haha My guesses are possum or fox.  A few houses up the road (about 1/8th a mile) saw a fox yesterday morning in their yard.

Add me to the sleepy - I've been suffering from insomnia for a couple of weeks now and finally slept most of the night last night.

OK I have a long list of paperwork to get through this morning before clients this afternoon - being here isn't helping clear that list

Oh thanks for the rain vibes and so glad that Jackie's area and others in TX finally got a drink from nature

I don't do FB, so I can't see the spider pic, but just the words "hairy tarantula" makes me think we were right the other day - Jackie for prez.  Any woman who can pick up  a spider wins in my book.

Karen- I absolutely *love* that picture of Bugsy -- kinda shows a whole different side of him! *smile*

I whacked my right hand a couple of nights ago (no biggie -- I just hit it on the edge of the table as I sat down.  But it hit right on the lower joint of my right thumb and DANG ... it has riled up the arthritis (which has been there a *long* time) to the point that even a little typing yesterday was ... bad.  So I've even got one of my smelly "patches" on it -- better than it was at bedtime last night at least.

Can I have a "do over" for 2 nights ago and I promise not to talk with my hands while I sit down?? (duh, Callie!)

Jackie -- I would be more prone to help a tarantula than I would be a banana spider.  Banana spiders are bigger (and benign), but I get helping the "hairy" thing part.

Ok -- I *am* over the edge this morning.  I *hate* banana spiders! LOL

(edited to be clear -- more than one species is referred to as "banana spider" -- I don't mean the poisonous 'bad boy' yellow version, but rather the one also called a "huntsman" that is just big -- as in the body can be the size of a ping pong ball witih the whole thing can span a dinner plate if it gets a chance to grow that big -- not hugely venomous  -- just too danged big to get that close to ME)

I didn't pick it up with my bare hands!  I'm not that brave and they are sort of jumpy and I didn't want it to jump out of my hand and onto my head or something. lol  I used to handle them when I was a kid and my brother kept one as a pet. :)   This one was about 4" long, not including the legs.
