    Travel advice...

I havent posted in a while...close to 2 years now. For those of you who remember me my boy bouncer is 2 + years now and is doing great. We are planning on moving back to India and want to take him with us... Im extremely worried about the long journey for him. Is it something he can withstand? What are all the things I should lookout for? Are there any pet transporters out there that will make the job easy....

Hi, traveling by plane is not uncommon for dogs nowadays.  I know several people who got puppies overseas via planes.  Usually airlines will let you bring a dog on the plane in a plastic shipping crate, and he'll be placed in the luggage compartment.  Definitely call the airlines and ask around before you purchase a ticket for their price and regulations.  I'm sure they'll be more than willing to help out.

Since you're shipping him out of the country, you probably need certain health certificates for your dog.  I'm sorry but I dont know anything about that, so hopefully someone else can help.

Also, if I were you I wouldn't feed the dog for at least 12 hours before the flight.  He might become nauseaus in the air.  Traveling hungry is a lot better than traveling with a crateful of vomit.

    Goodluck with your dog!
