Paige, the wedding is on June 11th - which is 11 DAYS AWAY. I will do my best to post pictures, but we're leaving for our honeymoon the next morning at 7:30AM *cough*FHbookedthatflight*cough* so you all might have to ask Callie to share whatever pictures she and David take until I get back :) Glad you like that exercise. Don't use any smaller than a 6-7 lb dumbbell or you won't have enough clearance for your fingers. Trust me, I asked.

I am trying to figure out a gift for my sister, the maidzilla. I've got the rest of the girls figured out (LL Bean tote bag, purple water bottle, purple Old Navy flip flops, purple beach towel, and then goodies from Bath & Body Works/Sephora) but I got a little something extra for my pregnant bridesmaid who helped me shop for my dress, so I should get my sister *something* too. I feel like I want it to be jewelry but her taste is pretty different than mine. I hate buying presents for people!

Speaking of kitties, can we all think a nice thought for my sister's new little one? Her name is Poppet (so far), and she's about 4-5 weeks old. A friend of a friend type situation found wee Poppet all alone under a dumpster, no mama in sight. My sister bottle fed her last night and says she's doing well but we all know how quickly this situation can go downhill. She is SO CUTE and I will post a picture in one second :)

I'm going to stay home today and try to finish clearing and planting the last little bit of the garden.  It's cooler today, lower humidity, and if I get out there before the sun gets too hot I might escape without more sunburn!

Me and Mr. W crapped out at the track AGAIN !!  Now instead of a friendly competition of who wins more money, now we compete to see who can lose more, lol.   They had one of those ZOOM teeth whitening booths there, and I got my teeth whitened so the day was not a total bust.  Good hot dogs and beer, too.

We just kind of lazed around the rest of the weekend eating ourselves silly.  Did you like the salad, Jackie ??

Sounds like our weekend and yes, we both loved the salad!  It's a perfect picnic salad even when the picnic is indoors where it's cool. lol

Tina, sorry your weekend ended early due to you not feeling good.  Hopefully, you had some fun before you started feeling funky. 

I guess I should get busy with work since it doesn't seem to be going away despite me ignoring it. :)

Good Morning all.   I know I have missed a bunch.... 

Tina, sorry you were sick this weekend.  

I had an awesome weekend.  It started Wednesday night with the "Ron White" concert that was postponed from the Feb snow storm.  They almost didnt make it in cause of all the weather in the area on Tues last week.   We did have a great time...especially my sweet hubby!  Ron White's wife..Margo Rey is a wonderful singer unbeknown to us and she did an after concert set at a local downtown bar.  Whoohoo!  Comedy and music in the same night.  So much fun!

I spent the next five days making a couple of 8x12 veggie beds....whew.  Lots of work but the rewards will be great.  I have wanted to do this for a while but the weather has kept me from working the ground.  Me and Rocky (he loved having mom home for 5 days in a row), worked the ground cleared the grass and rocks and finally yesterday started planting.   It will only be enough for the 2 of us but I needed to keep it manageable and close to the house.  I can see them from the kitchen window so that will be fun.  

Hope everyone is well, happy, and safe from all the storms coming in today.   Part 2 of my big project begins today.  So here we go!!!!

ETA: Wow, Meg I cant believe it's only 11 days away!  You must be so excited :)

My sister said that it's gender is now in question, LOL. She is eating well and going potty. S/he has a few fleas but my sister gave her a kitchen sink bath and combed them off :) They are off to the vet this afternoon.

Because of the weather, this was the most boring 3 day weekend I can remember and I was stir crazy yesterday. I hope this weather turns more Spring-like soon. Everyone keeps saying "it beats 110". Well yeah, but that's not the only other option we might be having. It might just be mid 80s, which is the average temp for right now. I think I'm grouchy and need to spend a little extra time at the gym today

Well. looks like it could be either one (dying or dieing) but really I'm not the least bothered by any sort of spelling or grammatical errors. Except when others make them. bwahahahahaha

We're pretty hot around here but what else is new and hey, job security and all that. lol  

I'm reading a book about Boulder, CO, sort of.  A Beast in the Garden is the name of it and so far it's pretty interesting.   It's concerning mountain lions and how (according to this author) Boulder pretty much invited a large predator into it's city and then suffered the consequences.  Not sure I'm on board with all the author's conclusions and such and I'm not finished with the book but it brings up some good points about how as a nation we have shifted our thinking about wildlife.  The subject of habituation is an interesting one to me and I can certainly believe that it has had a profound effect on many formerly shy of man species.

Owie.  4 1/2 hours in the sun left my shoulders looking like a fire truck.  I looked for a light weight shirt to put on to cover my shoulders, but couldn't find anything of my own and didn't want to borrow someone elses when I get so groady in the garden.  But, the clearing is ALMOST done...maybe another 2 square feet and hopefully when the sun mov3es down a bit DS will go out and finish it up for me.

Off to get cleaned up so I can eat something.......I'm just yucky right now!

I scored two cheap shirts (one casual, one appropriate for the workplace - bit dressier) at Khols this weekend. Gosh I love their sales. I LOVE the dressy one in particular. It looks really good on me and makes my chest look a lot smaller. I may go back and see if I can find this brand again and more colors or other styles. I don't care if I have to pay full price. I ALMOST bought a dress. The stitching was coming undone though in the back zipper area and I don't sew so I didn't buy it. It looked cute on me though.

I had the most awkward interview this afternoon. It was a husband and wife duo interviewing me and it got kinda awkward. There seemed to be undertones of things they had argued about regarding the position they are hiring for. However, if they made me an offer (only for full time though; right now they are kinda on the fence with it being either a full time or part time position) I'd consider it. It wasn't so bad that I have bad feelings about what it would be like to work there. It was just odd.

I'm strongly considering picking up a paper route that I saw advertised in the paper this morning. It would be VERY early morning (4am), local though. It's independent contract work, paying $400 per week. I'm just thinking it would be nice to help make a faster dent in my large college loan bills and bank some money for emergencies. A lot to consider on that though (mostly my love of sleep lol). I'll talk it over the SO tonight. We are not hurting financially, but we're not getting ahead nor do we have anything in savings. I have no savings to speak of and the SO's will be pretty well wiped out when we buy his new car (which he desperately needs) come end of summer/beginning of fall.
